Can Minato go Sage Mode too?

I know this has probably been posted alot, but i want to see some answers with what we have today not from 3 years ago when Sennin mode debuted. I think Minato has Sage Mode because when Naruto came to fight Pain, Tsunade talks about Naruto, Jiraiya, and Minato all having similar forms.

it takes time to go into sage mode... time that minato did not have :/

Pa said only Naruto and Jiraiya had finished the training successfully. Everyone else that failed was turned into a frog statue. So by following simple logic he didn't master sage mode or even tried doing that.

But still he could have done the training somehow. We'll see soon

I thought it was hinted at that he couldn't, or wasn't a perfect sage. If he can go into sage mode, it's most likely an imperfect one like Jiraiya. I mean, Pa or Ma ( Can't remember) toad did say Naruto surpassed both Jiraiya and Minato when he fought Pein. And it's unlikely at that point that he was stronger than Minato at that point.

So yeah. . Just my opinion, but I think that Pa (Or Ma) toad already gave us the answer.

I would say no. The only thing that is known Minato can do is summon toads.

As far as we know, he never used any type of sage mode.
But I'm sure that if he learned it then he could've used it. (as long as he has a large chakra reserve)

i dought it if he could jaraya would have told naruto about teaxhing the 4rth.

also we know nothing about his levle of chakra aswell as the fact that i think he has showed most of the extent to his power already, sure maybe he has a couple more godly techs up his sleave but i doubt one of them is sage mode.

Wow! Lots of interesting points. My stance on this is that Minato being a sage is unconfirmed as of now. There is no evidence for it at all. There are lots of things on the basis of which we can speculate, but no real evidence. I loved how people came together to form some cogent arguments. I don't have much to add, so I'll just thank everyone for weighing in and the OP for bringing up the idea.

I am under the assumption that yes, if Minato had lived to a sufficient time period, the Yondaime Hokage would have been able to learn and perfect Sennin Mode as it seems that the shinobi possess sufficient chakra reserves and considering his prodigious nature, this wouldn't be the most difficult of tasks.
