Battle starts, Minato uses his shunshin no jutsu with rasengan. Hashirama will either engage in CQC and die, react by jumping back(which he won't in base) or get tagged and die.

Hashirama isn't reacting to a shunshin blitz that Madara could thanks to his SM,Juubi sensing and sharingan precog. also Minato is faster than his edo self since do's are revived at their full power so he's 2x faster if not more.

How does Hashi win without Sm and his buddah? How does the giant buddah even hit a small fast target that can cover unimaginable distance in mere seconds?The battle end before it even starts unless the fight is IC which its not so Minato can shunshin blitz him.

how's that? mokuton is designed to counter those powers specifically.

Maybe the bijuus on their own but with their host its a different story especially in Naruto and Minato's case since they can deactivate it at will.

First of all, How can you say Minato pushes Hishi to high diff, and in your scenario Minato beats him no diff and Edo's are brought back at "ALMOST" full strength so saying Minato would be 2x faster is bull.

And Hishi doesn't need SM or his Buddha to beat Minato. Once He creates a wood forest and uses flower tree world there isn't anything Minato can do. Not to mention his wood clones and his auto-healing witch makes it nearly impossible for Minato to harm him.

In my opinion Minato would not be able to defeat Hashirama. His repertoire of jutsu is too limited against Hashirama's large scale attacks.
If Minato were to have lived longer and fully mastered sage mode/integrated into his fighting style, in addition to completing the rasengan he might have a chance. But even that might be pushing it.

If Mimato summons Bunta, Ken and Hiro and utilises his sage mode quickly and effectively then he may just push Hashirama to sage mode and make for a Hashirama win extreme diff.

If he uses Fukasaku and Shima I'm addition to his other toad summons, then maybe he could sway it in his favour. BM Minato can win if it's only base Hashirama. Dunno about sage Hashirama.
