It may have been a different justsu though. It was, after all, through a chakra rod and required contact, while Kushina does not.

no, because those same chains that were binding the tailed beast (4 tails for example) is the same that bound Kurama in Kushina.
thanks to the rinnigan, Obito is able to transfer his own chakra through them, thats why he can make the chains come from the rods as well.

it wouldnt make sense to have the same exact looking jutsu but for them to be different

If it was the same jutsu, Obito would have used them right after Naruto entered BM (Kurama shape), don't you agree? It would be way easier to restrain Kurama that way instead of fighting him head on...

Due to plot-didnt happen.
Madara could have wasted the allaince if he just summoned the meteors again.
Or used Perfect Susanoo again.
It would have been so much easier to capture naruto so many times.

But if you dont agree, then can u explain WHY Kurama's chains and 4 tails were the same?
And why coincedentally Kushina and Obito's chains were the same? Like I said, I think he makes the come out of the stakes to make it easier to control the tailed beasts.

Lol chains are always chains... they're always the same XD

Well, Madara did say it wasn't very cool to bring PS again after withdrawing it once :yay:

I think the chains are just a result of having someone sealed earlier on. They are a restraint in case the sealed target would try to overpower the user. I honestly doubt Kushina could spam her chains on random people.

But the chains themselves formed a barrier that Hiruzen couldn't get through.

Yeah, agreed, but that barrier was formed to keep out the Kyuubi, the beast a seal was put on. IMO we have too little info about Kushina to decide, but in my opinion the usage of her chain jutsu is restricted to the people sealed by her.

It'd be cool if she could. Idk though. Her battle skills are being mystified just the rest of the uzumaki women.
