Who uses ios any more? Be serious when someone asks for tech advice, they don't always know when you're kidding and would go out and do that :/
His answer was legitimate.

You seem like one of those people who do a little research but really, doesn't know that much about tech. Millions use iOS, why? Because it's the most user-friendly, the only complete OS out of the bunch and perhaps most importantly; is the only one seated on architecture that is perfectly designed for itself and for the OS is running.

The architecture used in other major manufacturers is mish mash and budget orientated. Most CPUs are cruddy Snapdragons that remind me of the underwhelming efforts of AMD. It's not just that though, the collective configuration means that the power isn't utilized as efficiently and therefore, peak performance is inhibited. That is reflected in the iPhone 6's besting the Galaxy S5 regarding performance, despite more mild mannered components.

And you seem like the kind of guy who likes a certain product, so you read articles (opinion articles) about that thing to reaffirm your belief, then spew it on the internet like its fact.

I study electronics for a living. Let me let you in on a couple things: 1) User friendly devices are holding back the industry. When you pander to the lowest common denominator, you end up with garbage. When you go for a device thats designed to be nothing but EASY to use, you end up with one with fewer functions than you'd have otherwise. 2) We were talking about operating systems, not hardware. Hardware is determined by the manufacturer. Someone like ME could build a phone that had the lowest tier tech in it than throw android on it. Conversely I could make the most high power device on the planet and ALSO put android on it. You may hate snap dragon devices, but not all devices use those. Many of those use the extremely powerful tegra line by nvidia. This discussion was about IOS being not a REAL os. Kinda like when you put your netflix account in "kid" mode. Feel me? Quoting the hardware is really not necessary, but since you were the one to bring that up, I'd be more than happy to take that route as well. The iphone out performing the galaxy s5? LMAO. With what? Its less than stellar screen? the fact that it took them 3 years after android to implement a nfc chip? The still less customizable layout? The lack of removable battery or expandable memory? Iphone loses on eveyr single parameter. Or are you talking about benchmarks? In actual use, almost every one accepts that the s5 has the edge in speed. Its common knowledge now that apple devices detect when benchmarks are being used and up the performance temporarily. Literally everyone knows that.

"the only complete os". How is it complete when its still missing features that android users have used for years? Get real. You're being biased and a fan boy. I was a fan of the original iphone way back when. When androids were in their infancy, I said out loud "you know, right now i prefer iphones, because they're better. But in a few years, android will really take over". when that day came, i switched. I have no brand loyalty. i objectively know that ios is a joke.

Saying that ios > android is like calling a mac better than a pc. And i KNOW you wouldn't dare say that.

Well you're not very good at your job and making judgements, because you jumped straight to the conclusion that I have "brand loyalty" or that I am "biased" when in fact, they're baseless assumptions. I'm not surprised though, many who make similar claims to you don't actually live up to what they're supposed to be.

You're the biased bandwagoner here mate, not looking at the facts objectively or even worse, not knowing them. I never said that the iPhone outperforms it's competitors in every aspect (unlike your partial self) but in performance, build quality and as an OS, it does. And actually, I'm talking real life tests where overall, the iPhone is smoother and quicker.

And you're literally not even viable if you don't know what the term complete OS means and you just proved you don't by misapplying it. Plus, you still didn't address my point on the superior architectural configuration... probably because you can't because you don't know a fig's arse about hardware beyond "Wow, big gigahertz, much good". I bet you don't even know that the amount of gigahertz has little impact if the chip is a cheap construct.
