First,we know that he can cut lighting bolts with raikiri. But how's this possible?

Don't tell me that he's enough fast to be where the lighting will hit.
The only possibility is that Kakashi can control lightings and redirect it on him to cut it.

The only difference with Sasuke it's that Sasuke can creat the cloods with Katon whereas Kakashi can only do it when it's naturally there.

This is the equivalent of asking if he can redirect Kisame or Zabuza's water dragon bullets back at them. No he can't. He has to do something to guard against it, not redirect it to them.

We will never know the answer but it would be cool if he could. Or if Kakashi was able to survive Karin he could possible copy it and send it back to Sasuke

maybe not redirect, but break it.

Kakashi was said to have broken into half a natural lightning. Kirin is a natural lightning, just that it has a shape (according to sasuke)

if kakashi's legend as a lightning cutter is true, he should be able to cut through kirin too.
