Kakashi young already beat Gai with gates in the flashback.So speed isn't a problem for Kakahi he's also one of the fastest in the serie ,even without sharingan he handled Gai, now that he improved and has sharigan+mangekyou it's overkill.

People who think Gated Gai would speedblitz Kakashi are people who don't read the manga. Sharingan has been shown to be able to read movements of even faster ninjas than Gai(Sasuke read V1 Raikage's speed). Sasuke was completely surpassed in speed by Naruto at the VOTE, but when 3tomoes appeared, he saw thru his movements easily.

During this war, we've seen Kakashi able to keep up with 6gated Gai:

Yet people falsly believe gated Gai would speedblitz Kakashi when it's far from the truth. Gated Gai is fast yes, but it seems that his speed is greatly overlooked in battles. Kisame was able to keep up with him while in gate mode despite Gai's superiority in speed, Kakashi was able to keep up with him:

Beside speed, Kakashi is overall better than him in almost everything. He can't identify clones. Just imagine, if gated Gai fights and hurt a Raiton Kage Bunshin? He would be paralysed, and it would end with a Raikiri thru the chest. He is more versatile in fights, reason why he always was ahead of him in their battles

Gai beats kakashi.

Gai is Stronger, Faster, and in better shape. Gai is a master of tai-jutsu so i highly dobt kakashi's sharingan can keep up.

And for those who seem to think kakashi can keep up with Gai's speed; You must have forgotten that both guy and lee have been hindering there speed with the ankle weight that the ALWAYS wear. Lee and Guy are wearing them right now during the war.

So if kakashi and guy ever did fight and it was alll out, guy would simply take off the weights and open some gates which will cause his movements to be to fast to be seen with the human eye. Kakashi would not be able to respond fast enough. The match would basically be over before it began.

Yet we see Gai who was completely turned apart off-panel(covered in blood), when Kakashi was just fine. He needed 7gates just to push Madara's Susanoo away and collapse 2 seconds later, what great of a feat, especially when you consider that Kakashi almost soloed Gedo Mazo(a much greater threat than Madara's poor Susanoo) on his own

What you fail to realise is that Susanoo itself was never described as a fast thing. Madara's Susanoo were incapable to hit Raikage despite the advantage in number(5 of them), neither did it against Mei. Only Sasuke's Susanoo arrows have been described to be particularly fast. Don't try to give Sasuke's Susanoo feats to Madara, or feats to Madara's Susanoo that he doesn't possess

Naruto fought 6 out 7 bijuu that was in the gedo manzo and put up a go fight and had no problem with them in bijuu mode the same madara who was absorbing his chakra and throwing him around in bijuu.
