Obito seemed like a goofy kid, who was actually exceptionally intelligent. He just needed the right push and training and Madara gave him that. Even without MS, Obito seems quite skilled as far as tactical planing goes. If you are taking Obito's MS away, then take Kakashi's away as well for an even argument. And if we take that away, we all know what happens to his 1000 jutsus.
