What do you mean technically? He did die. But it's not like that means anything. A majority of the strongest characters in the series have died so far. Hagoromo, Nagato, Madara, Jiraiya, Obito, etc.

yeah but my point is, your sentence of him'technically' being the strongest is bullshit, because shisui had both eyes.. that alone would make shisui stronger.
