With a direct hit in head yes. But Kurama can heal even O-open areas, as in Naruto/Sasuke fight.

If they could be killed why would the different village's (Iwakagure included) resort to sealing jutsus?

Tailed Beast balance. Why didn't Hashirama finish Kurama off in the first place? Exactly. They can be killed, but no one wishes to they try to control their powers. But it wasn't possible if you didn't have Talk no Jutsu. That's why they were sealed in people. Afterwards the ninjas got to a point where they couldn't compete against one even with an army, without sealing it.

True, i forgot plot.
Regardeless, if Jinton could kill Bijuus there would be no balance because there's only one village with that kind of firepower and that's Iwakagure, giving the said village an advantage. Not to mention the fact that it also possesses 2 Bijuus, whereas Suna and Konoha have 1.
And there's also the Sage who had a better version of Jinton but opted to seal the Juubi instead of killing it.
Plot or not, i don't think they're killable.
