I don't think so. Sasuke held his opposite eye when it came to putting out the black flames, and the panels after it strongly suggested that it was that particular eye doing the work in this case.

sasuke was already lit with amaterasu flames if itachi hadnt extinguished them sasuke would have completely vanished like zetsu clones

though sasuke escaped his body survived meaning itachi extinguished the flames otherwise nothing would have left, the flames wont vanish if you stop using amaterasu the raikage had to cut away his arm to stop them from spreading

itachi didnt exghaust they just vanish because he didnt strain again when he caught sasuke
