Will of fire means believing in new generations
same thing happened when Tobirama trusted hiruzen to be Hokage
Minato & Jiraiya trusted Naruto to be Savior
Shisui trusted Itachi to protect konoha

and he proved he was an iredeemable tyrannical sociopath when he tried to brainwash and enslave sasuke using naruto as a pawn in a game, and erase all sense of free will form sasukes mind, chaining him to a village he despises forcefully

Even Hiruzen can't do shit against Uchiha's Strikes, if they want to and that would be more brutal. Civil War. But Itachi abl. to do that sacrifice. Take all burden to himself. He's dark knight of NarutoVerse. He did what he must,even Hashirama couldn't do that and so what? Madara still alive in some way, and shits on " innocent " people.. If they don't stop smoothly, he destroyed all manace to village without thinking. It's not meaning of that he enjoyed that. He must did it or that would be bigger war. will of fire = love of everyone in the village like hiruzen. not just the village as an institution like danzo tobirama and itachi. theres no saving a whole village if you cant bring yourself to show care for the people your saving. your comparison to batman is insulting. batman isnt a violent genocidal murderer who butchered innocent children. or at least children whod didnt know what they were doig when they signed onto the coup.

they could have surrendered and gave uchihas what they wanted. bloodshed averted. that or only kill half uchihas and leave the rest. i doubt women and children and elderly can wage war against professional soldiers.

no one asked him to. the reason why he took the blame off the elders is because he knew it wasnt right, what he just did, and accepted it. he accepted it so much he continued down the evil path and made the uchiha's deaths worthless by helping to start another world war by working for akatsuki

what war? there was no war. there was either give uchihas what they want or they will take it forcefully. more destructive things have happened to konoha with no other nation getting involved. the sand invasion for example. should have led to war based on itachi's brutal views on the other nations. he thinks everyone wants war except himself.
