Genjutsu is one of the 3 main categories of jutsu in the shinobi world and yet it seems to be exclusive to Uchiha or those with sharingan for the most part. Only other example I can think of is Tayuya and some of Jiraiya's tricks.

That one girl from first chunin exams that faced shikamaru using bells as a genjutsu to disorient opponents

IDK why genjutsu is even a thing the illusions they make are so unrealistic even for their world

Cause it doesn't work like an illusion does irl(case in point, kakashi and tsukiyomi, knowing your In "the illusion" doesn't really
Help unless it's a basic b tch genjutsu)

Well I disagree it does work like an illusion thats what they describe it as and if you realize you're in it you can break free apparently only ocular genjutsu can't be broken (kishi **** riding sharingan)

That's what I mean though. Most of the genjutsu we see is ocular based. Regardless of whether the illusion looks realistic or not whoevers caught is screwed without someone else around, that's why it's a thing

Oh yeah, I was saying you can't really give this kid many genjutsu that aren't sharingan based because noone uses them really cuz they're pointless. If sharingan jutsu was breakable as easily it would be pointless as well for the most part

I believe hashirama and tobirama's Bringer-of-Darkness was an OP genjutsu technique as said it is very hard to break or may be impossible for no dojutsu users unless they intercept the user some how.
