[Question] Can I get some type of recognition?

Except for lurking in the shadows for a really long time, you don't have much else going for you. Recognition here can be earned by actively posting in the forums, supporting the site via premiumm participating in the forum contests etc.. There's many things to do to gain recognition. Just sitting back and watching would not do that for you.

OT: If you are given recognition then we would also need to give recognition to all the members from 2007 and 2008 which would be a really long list. As giving you alone recognition because you asked for it would be considered biased-ness.
Also you can always ask the "King of the Hill" to give you premium. Apart from the staff he has the power to grant your wishes.

In my opinion, color doesn't matter much. Sure, it might look good, but you will stop paying it attention overtime. Plus there are many members on NB who deserve recognition like you say but never got it.
