I know Hashirama's healing is pretty damn cool but I do not know the specifics of it. Is it just pure regeneration or does it work for some special cases also?

I'm interested to know if Hanzo's poison mist (the strongest poison) would still cripple and kill Hashirama like it would anyone else. Because I still don't see how Hashirama has any counter to a straight attack of poison mist. And then Kisame's water dome. Does Hashirama have any way of surviving under water? It just goes to show how even the strongest ninja can fall to the power of alternative tactics.

Can his healing fix poison and internal problems within his own body or is it just pure regeneration? Interested to know.

For poison: Medical Ninjutsu cannot heal poison, so no.
For drowning: It never said that MN can't stop drowning, but based on pure logic it can't, so also no.

Can't Hashirama merge with his Mokuton? Yamato was able to turn into Mokuton so it is only logical, therefore he can escape the water dome underground or he can simply push himself above the water dome, (Water dome is huge - Kisame only used 30% chakra when he displayed it but, Hashirama can create a forest in seconds. He could most likely just sit on top of the main branch, thus elevating himself above it.)

Poison - No clue as to how he would counter this, only viable option would be a good distance between the air-space in which the poison had been released from, there are a few more options he could choose from but I really don't feel like getting in depth.

Hashirama has insane durability though.

Just look at the explosive orb Juubito created - As soon as Minato went near pre-explosion, his arm came flying off, yet Tobirama was actually able to hold it - mid explosion. And Hashirama is a tier above Tobirama for the strength of his Senju DNA. Besides, Hashirama maybe stupid but not stupid enough to simply walk into Hanzo/Ibuse's poison. As for Water Dome, it sits on earth anyway, he's certainly powerful enough to raise himself above the dome using Mokuton.

Well Maybe poison can cancel poison

Seeing as when Kisame used water dome the stop Yamato and company from extracting intel. Yamato was preparing to destroy the water dome with mokuton right before Kisame committed suicide.

If his healing skills work like Tsunade's then poison would kill him; splitting of cells wouldn't be able to rid the poison out of his body.

Even with the poison in him I think Hashirama could fight about 12 hours. That's the power of the Senju.

Nope. Healing does not affect.

Sõzõ Saisei splits the main body cells to replace those that were destroyed. However, if the cells are destroyed by a poison that has the risk to infect others, it can cause even a greater risk. This jutsu is of course from Tsunade, but since Madara has stated Hashirama to have the same kind of ability, we'll have this as an example.

Again, Sõzõ Saisei does not help in this matter. Since all the cells are dying because the lack of oxygen, it does not help by splitting them up - it makes no difference. Unless those cells gain oxygen from that act, nothing is changed.

Does not help in both matters.

Yeah the only thing with Hanzo is just to stay the f*ck away.... The only problem is Hanzo can directly shoot a large bolt of poison mist in any given direction. Even for Hashirama dealing with this is going to be tricky.

But considering how the water dome follows kisame, we can go by the logic that he can fly, because he swims in it, but he is still always in the middle of it, so he could just go higher and the dome would still follow him.

But i think as long as hashirama merges with his wood and there is wood that isn't covered in water he could still breath.
