That was a common act of a villain character. It would have done serious damage if Dei dropped it on Gaara. It would probably damage Gaara even more. Lol.

C4 oneshots U_U and C3 might have killed Gaara if it was dropped at him U_U. The explosion was pretty huge.

Deidara would win if it was a fight to kill. Gaara has no counter for microbombs.

Deidara wasn't even trying to kill Gaara.The Deidara that fought against Sasuke was much more fierce, he even used his strongest 'C' moves against him.

Deidara > Gaara and this Gaara had Shukaku too so his chakra was much larger.

He did not even go all way out in that fight; and they were in the desert.

Gaara is a stronger shinobi overall though.
