Can body replacement jutsu use as a space time jutsu?

No, you don't seem to get how substitutions work. Substitutions are when the user subs their body with an object before they actually get hit. They need to make a distraction to switch places with and transform that object to look like them so their opponent doesn't see them do it. That is why with every regular substitution (I'm not counting Oro's or Bee's), the opponent loses sight of the user when the sub is used.

Examples: Lee closed his eyes and Gaara subbed with a shell of sand.
Kakashi ran behind a tree and subbed with a log against Hidan and Kakuzu
Sasuke was in the forest while Deidara subbed with a clay clone
