[Discussion] Can Awakening be Forced?

Basically the title.

As we have seen with Doflamingo a DF user can attain awakening and still be in their right mind. So i was wondering do you think it is possible that the Guards at Impel Down were artificially awakened by Vegapunk? I mean think about it, Doflamingo said that u have to attain a certain level before you can awaken.

Those guards don't seem anyway near doflamingo's level so I can only think that they achieved awakening by other means. That could be y the guards are stuck that way. Also there is another case of forced awakening.

So if Chopper's power is also considered awakening we know that it can be forced scientifically and Vegapunk is smarter than Chopper so it would make sense that he could make it so that the process lasts more than a few minutes and that it doesn't kill the test subject.

True, the Demon Guards are seemingly too weak to have achieved awakening through the same means as Doflamingo

Which is why this theory is plausible although there is a lack of evidence to support it

Definitely. If Choppers' Monster Point is an awakened state then that proves this to be true, right? I mean, his transformation is drug induced.

Well, I would think that it is. It involves the loss of mental ability and it is a product of the DF, the only thing is Chopper's can kill him if he stays in that form for too long

That would be awesome if that were true. It would make that whole thing more logical, also i think Minochihuahua is just stronger than the rest of them. If they were artificially awakened. Then I think Minochihuahua is the same

Cuz their brains seemed to have been effected as well :| Also, they have been knocked out b4 and when knocked out u r supposed to revert to human form.

And wasn't it mentioned somewhere about the intelligence of the guards was lost due to the awakening, or due to something anyways... Just feel I can recall that at some point but could be wrong.

I dont remember that, but it is common that the effects from DFs disappear when u lose consciousness

See that s a big missconseption as stated in drum island's side arc one of the greatest assets a Zoan user is afforded is unmatched durability. Being able to take a beating and get back up is a benifit of being a zoan and while it varies from the strength of the user almost all zoans posses an immense recovery rate. Even chopper who drained his body to the point where he had to be carried at PH was back up well before the predicted hour recovery from monster form as seen when he was giving medicine to the children, and this was before sanji ever gave the food out so you can say its just the secret recipies.

Peel surving the bomb all the demon gaurds taking beatings chopper healing quicker than most marco even with seastone the boa sisters.
All of these characters get beat down and are fine quickly after.

No. Only Marco's and Awakened Zoans allow a user to heal faster

Even so, Marco's is instantaneous so his awakening is likely a more powerful form
