um idk why everyones so shocked over this. its completely in character for sasuke to be away. he doesn't want to be in konoha he doesn't even believe in the system he just trusts naruto so he's willing to help naruto correct the system his way. so what if he doesn't want to be in saradas life she's a damn ninja get over your feelings and train you brat. there are tons of dead beat dads in the world so just add sasuke to the list and move on.
