Black Lagoon: Mercenaries in the 90s. Kinda like a Japanese Die Hard.
Cowboy Bebop: Space bounty hunters.
Blue Sub #6: Futuristic waterworld.
Ghost in the Shell: Future police force with cyborgs.
Area 88: Guy gets forced into joining the French Foreign Legions air force.
Hajime no Ippo: Awesome series about boxing.
Eyeshield 21: Show about football. Manga continued longer than the series and got pretty badass.

If you want to watch some shorter ones, I highly suggest Tengen Toppa Gurren and Sword Art Online. If not, my top 3 apart from Naruto are-

1. Fairy Tail
2. Magi
3. Soul Eater

Sword Art Online.

Currently my favorite anime, but atm only has 25 episodes.

It has a fair amount of sword-play, and if you ever played an mmorpg, you'll get attached to the plot instantly.

P.S. I almost cried like 3 times in just those 25 episodes...pure art. I'm as manly as they get, mind you. :D

Yeah are they coming out with more i'm only on episode 6
