I think that it would at least stall the development of the CT.
And by the I would like to point out that itachis amatirasu burns much faster than sasukes.
Do you guys not remember how fast it burned through a brick wall through jirayas toad summon technique? it was INSTANT.
And it seems that many people here under ate Itachi. He can always seal it too.
