Can a single child get ems

This question actually got me thinking, as of what we know now, no. An only Uchiha child couldn't. But Up until we saw Kakashi's MS/Sasuke awaken his MS, we also believed that you had to kill your best friend to awaken that. The Uchiha are a war driven clan so it's not suprising that they only way they say to be able to awaken MS/EMS is to kill you Best friend/Brother. Therefore preparing you for the death of others. But there possibly be another way to awaken it. But we might never know.

The manga says no, but I wonder, could the single Uchiha take an MS from their Son or Father? If they had the MS that is.

I think so. So far, the only people able to get EMS had a brother, but in the manga, I think it said a close relative or "clansman" was the exact words. But it also said that sometimes it didn't always work. So, who knows?
