Kakashi is incredibly skilled though. And a proficient weapons master can easily use anything to deflect blows from objects designed to hurt.

That slice actually took off Goku's finger, but they edited that scene out.

I don't think Hidan's weapon is designed to slice heads off. it was designed to draw blood only. If Kakashi's Kunai managed that, then it's not a big deal. After all, it's a small sturdy object. Look at Samehada. It isn't a sword designed for slicing and dicing.

The real question is, how does hidan fight with a scythe? Those things are just for farming. . . . . . . Go read the manual for surviving the Zombie apocslypse. Itthe scythe is really not useful
