Probably No. Their brain did not learn a lot of things, I read about they will have problem with depth perception, idk about shapes. When you are a baby lot of things happen with your brain even though it looks like baby is doing some retarded stuff. Brain develops set of skills over years but their never did. It is like the absence of a device driver software to run that hardware.

I believe they will be able to differentiate between the two shapes. Touch and sound is their most important thing and they seem to be highly developed in case of blind people. So they can kind of get an idea of what the object's shape is like which means that they can differentiate.
