I just found probably the most messed up and disturbing video on youtube. This video depicts what the initiation into manhood is like for other cultures. Just a friendly warning to all that are squeamish.

Now, as a man I think that some of these things are messed up while others aren't so bad. But things that alter a person's privates shouldn't be allowed. I just want to know what are your thoughts and do you know of any other signs that initiate manhood in other cultures.

The most disturbing video on youtube tho? No, the ones that actually show this stuff are the most disturbing! Lol Every once in awhile a go on a weird trip around the internet and always find myself on the weird side of youtube. There are some very strange, disturbing people in this world :| So glad we haeve the internet! lol

Huh.

Honestly, I think most of this preys upon people who have never set foot outside of their home town.

While some of the more mundane ones are 'true' - there are quite a few of those that are not really 'rights of manhood.' They might be rights of passage, to be certain - but the effort required for many of those 'to become a man' ceremonies is above and beyond what is practical for a self-sustaining population of any significant size.

Take the one involving the whole eating of the foreskin and everything else (just what the hell) - just how many of the 'men' are able to have children after that?

Who ends up siring all of the children of that culture? Those who weren't foolish enough to be macho.

I don't think we are seeing examples of what is most common amongst those cultures - only the most extreme and relatively infrequent (spare for the few references to 'normal' society that is mentioned simply to try and give the illusion of objectivity).

...why did I watch that...why did you post it...my eyes are bleeding...I'm not a boy and it made me cringe...if anyone tried to do anything but the Bar Mitzvah and 18th birthday party to my son, they would not be walking right for the rest of there life, they also wouldn't have to worry about ever having a son themselves.
