The tales that Jiraiya wrote is basically about "Team 7" same characters, first a female character from that novel liked the cool guy, but the dork guy liked her and the cool guy didn't like her, then at one moment one character gives her a tip and she learns that she actually loves the dork guy. The dork guy is more like Jiraiya than Naruto though. I can't recall names.
