So... this is weird...Should we start with the feats the Byakugan grants?
- let's you see the chakra pathway system (and the tenketsu points)
- let's you see chakra at the extent of being able to differ the structure of one from the other
- gives you a near 360º diameter field of vision
- grants x-ray vision
- the range of the vision get extended
- let's you see high-speed movements
- can widen the range of genjutsu
(it somehow grants some kind of superior abilities like reading minds, which was seen in the anime from Kaguya in episode 461 and Hiashi in Boruto in episode 8, Momoshiki was even in the movie able to read Boruto's fate...)
The Byakugan doesn't really need the Gentle Fist, but the Gentle Fist needs the Byakugan, for a Byakugan user not to use the Gentle Fist would mean to not use the full extent of the Byakugan's abilities though.
The Gentle Fist let's is a style of Taijutsu that let's you block the Tenketsu Points of a body, which disables the said person from casting ninjutsu and even does internal damage. The Byakugan's vision of chakra and the pathway system added with the fact that it let's you see movements better or slower makes that combo so deadly. Let's not forget that the Gentle Fist has even jutsus like the Rotation/Kaiten that let's you block all kind of ninjutsu and taijutsu and has even wide ranged jutsus like the Vacuum Palm.
Vacuum Palm being stated should we not forget, that Neji stated that the Gentle Fist can break all of chakra made substances, we saw this fact being even used on Itachi's novel where a Byakugan user was able to split a Fireball jutsu in half as he was able to read the movement of chakra of the jutsu.
To sum it up, the Byakugan with the Gentle Fist can simply stop a person from casting ninjutsu (and even the 8 Gates) by blocking their tenketsu points and at the same time do internal damage. They can block all kind of ninjutsu and taijutsu with their Rotation/Kaiten and break every of chakra made substance or split jutsus in half by reading the flow of chakra within a jutsu and use their gentle fist according to that.
A Byakugan user could even easily avoid visual genjutsu by closing their eyes and activate the Byakugan with their x-ray capabilities and enhanced vision.

Aight, so just a few things. In the RP, no widening scope of genjutsu or mind reading. But, you're you, so you'll find a way. Second, Gentle Fist is not strictly attacking tenketsu. The Gentle Fist fighting style is simply striking while releasing chakra so that the chakra does internal damage. More advanced users can accurately pinpoint tenketsu to stop or accelerate the flow of chakra, but don't forget you can just as easily strike a person's heart just to hurt them. Another thing in RP Context, Gentle Fist jutsu is just raw chakra release, so in most cases, it's weaker than elemental Nin or things like Fuin which are typically on par with elemental nin. What he said
I'm pretty sure that hoe is raw. Pretty sure we release chakra from out tenketsu points to inject our chakra into the opponents chakra system when paired with attacks. It can stop or disrupt chakra flow or do internal damage to organs. As for the actual limits, eh idkAight, so just a few things. In the RP, no widening scope of genjutsu or mind reading. As Hyuugas have great natural chakra control, they're one of the view that can use Chakra Transfer and release chakra from all their tenketsu. A benefit in the RP was that you used to be able to do like freeform expelling of chakra for small things like keeping your balance, but I'm gonna have to check with the updates to see if that's still okay.
Now moving on. Chakra Bursts. We'll start with just a simple release of chakra from your palms that is used in conjunction with striking. What do you know about our ability to release a chakra burst, what does it do, and is it raw chakra or manipulated. What are it's limits?
Not really. These are pretty straight forwardYes, we release raw chakra from our tenketsu points. These quick releases only send out chakra a few inches out of the body. Note that the release is generally lacking in shape transformation too, so it's just chakra being shot forward. It simply shoots out in one direction and all we control is the release valve so to speak. Now, if we continuously release chakra and move around, then the chakra will start to spin and such from momentum, not from your shape control. We'll brush up on that more later. A benefit of this quick release of chakra is that it hardly takes any effort or time. Essentially, it's the same speed as regular Tai, meaning it's faster than Ninjutsu where chakra needs to be moulded first.
With all that said, here are the regular chakra burst techniques that are not entirely precise. They merely aim to strike any internal part of the body.Any questions?(Jūken: Hyūga Ryuu Taijutsu) — Gentle Fist: Hyūga Style Taijutsu
Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: A mini barrage of gentle fist strikes that equal 16 in total. Rather than targeting chakra points, the strikes can hit multiple inner organs to cause more widespread damage overall.
(Jūken: Hakke Kakuu Raishuu) — Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Aerial Attack
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user runs toward an enemy at full speed before jumping and hitting one of the foe’s vital organs. Alternatively, the user may jump from a high distance, then descend into the palm attack After being hit, the target will incur a decrease to their base speed.
Note: Base speed is reduced by 1 level per use and the effect lasts for up to five turns.
(Jūken: Byakugan Sandageki) — Gentle Fist: Byakugan Three Strikes
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user grabs the opponent's extended arm, flips them around, then strikes them thrice on the back with enough force to send them flying.
(Jūken: Shukūken) — Gentle Fist: Palm Bottom
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: This attack consists of a quick, precise thrust of the user's palm to an opponent's body. Like other Gentle Fist techniques, it sends chakra into the target to cause internal damage that paralyzes them for one turn.
The chakra network is the flow of chakra within the body. It allows us to use techniques and such. If a point in the chakra system is blocked, no chakra flows through that tenketsu point which either completely stops chakra usage or hinders it in some way.Going for more precise striking now, what can you tell me about the chakra network and it's importance. What happens when you strike it and where?
No questions.Yes, so the chakra network is like a road where chakra flows. There are 361 chakra points that act as valves. Now each chakra point is only the size of a tip of a needle, and the detail required to see it is only capable by the Byakugan. Not even the Sharingan can point out those small details.
Now striking the chakra network at arbitrary sections won't actually do anything. In order to effectively manipulate an opponent's (or your own) chakra network, you have to strike at these specific points. Now, you can completely stop the flow, hinder the flow, or accelerate the flow. All cases can be detrimental, but in some cases you can use the accelerated flow as a sorta of limit breaker, essentially heightening movement at the risk it is more dangerous.
Location is important too. Depending on where you strike, chakra flow for techniques can still occur. If you stop the flow of chakra by striking points near an arm, then the victim can still flow chakra through their other arm or such. Aiming at the stomach is the most effective way at stopping the opponent, as that's the central flow of chakra. It's generally accepted that if you stop flow in the stomach outward, the opponent should really be able to mould chakra.
On top of the 361 tenketsu, there are the EIG that I'm sure you're aware of. Just like any other point, Hyuuga are able to precisely strike the points to prevent those gates from being opened, or forcibly close already open ones. Potentially, you could even augment the flow of chakra through those points as well.
Any ideas, comments, concerns about any of this?
For the D rank since it doesn't give any specific debuffs does it really have an effect on the opponent? And i'm assuming the S rank halves senjutsu chakra pool too?Good, so these are them chakra network affecting techs. If you don't have any questions, just give a brief summary of what they do again. They're all pretty much the same but have varying degrees of the same effect.(Jūken: Tenketsushin) — Gentle Fist: Tenketsu Needle
Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: Targeting a single chakra point, the user delivers a two-fingered strike at the opponent, in an attempt to plug the chakra that's being used and halt its flow.
(Jūken: Hakke Sanjūni Shō) — Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: A maneuver that in effect is akin to a halved variant of the Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms and accordingly, halts the flow of chakra that circulates in sixteen tenketsu of the foe's chakra pathway system. If the selected tenketsu are localized to a single limb, then the recipient of this move is rendered unable to use the targeted limb for ninjutsu for one turn, which includes those with applied passives. If the strikes are not all localized to a single limb, then the foe will instead be unable to use chakra surges of S-rank and higher for one turn. Beyond those effects, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 5% per use.
(Jūken: Hakke Sanjūni Shō) — Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A maneuver that in effect is akin to a halved variant of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms but is able to be performed at 1.5x the user's current speed and accordingly, halts the flow of chakra that circulates in thirty-two tenketsu of the foe's chakra pathway system. The recipient of this move will be rendered unable to use more than 50 chakra in individual attacks, which includes those with applied passives, for three turns. Beyond that effect, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 10% for two turns.
(Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō) — Protecting Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: A potent Gentle Fist maneuver that capitalizes on the user's Byakugan to envision an Eight Trigrams circle, which sets the stage for the foe within this circle to be hit by a huge series of precise strikes aimed at sixty-four tenketsu that comprise a portion of their chakra pathway system. Each successful strike halts the flow of chakra that ordinarily passes through the given tenketsu and makes chakra control a much harder endeavor. The recipient of this move will be rendered unable to user more than 35 chakra in individual attacks, which includes those with applied passives, for two turns. Beyond that effect, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 25% for four turns.
(Juken: Hakkeshō Hachimon Hougeki) — Gentle Fist: Eight Triagrams Eight Gates Assault
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: A specialized derivative of Eight Trigrams that targets the tenketsu specific to the Eight Inner Gates (EIG) mode. The user strikes the gates one by one with their gentle fist taijutsu to completely halt the flow of chakra that would otherwise pass through. This effectively enables the user to prevent the tenketsu from being opened or even close any tenketsu that are opened. In addition, closing an individual tenketsu will prevent the target from not only being able to access the corresponding gate but any higher gate as well. Conversely, targeting a higher gate will not curtail one's access to lower gates.
(Juken: Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō) — Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: A doubled version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms technique, but also performed at twice the speed of the latter. This is used to close off the flow of chakra through one hundred twenty-eight chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use B-rank and above levels of chakra for two turns while also making it difficult for them to move. Alternatively, it can be used to quickly hit multiple targets.
(Jūken: Hakke Hazan Hogeki) — Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Crumbling Mountain Palm
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The user begins with cupped hands that are drawn to their side while a large quantity of chakra is being rapidly concentrated into a single point in their palms. They then thrust their palms forward to strike the enemy while discharging the chakra, which increases in both power and size as it continues. Upon striking the foe, the chakra appears to burst from their back in the form of a narrow beam that quickly enlarges into a mountain-busting wave. Not only does this inflict tremendous harm unto the foe, it momentarily cripples the victim as they lose access to half of their current chakra supply.
First thing that comes to mind is rapid movement. Or Being able to quickly change directions in a strike. Since you describe it as repelling objects around you, im assuming it can go as far as pushing opponents back as well as techniques where plausible.D-Rank has no perks since it's only 1 single point. In order to effectively halt chakra flow in one area of the body like an arm, you'd need to block more than a few. S-Rank should be half yes, didn't realize we forgot to update that. I'll speak with LoK to update it. Until then, don't use it saying that effect (people would complain)
Moving on. Now we're gonna talk about a great benefit of being a Hyuga. Normally, even Jounin or higher ranked shinobi have trouble releasing chakra from any tenketsu besides their hands and feet. Hyuga are uncharacteristically able to easily release chakra from any of their tenketsu. It's essentially the same as releasing chakra from your hands, with the same limitations, like only reaching a few inches out of the body, being raw chakra with no inherent shape transformation applied to it, etc. The benefit is that you can expel chakra to repel or push back anything around your body you can't reach. For example, you're hands can be cuffed and you're unable to break out of them with sheer force. Instead, you can actually release chakra from your wrists to break the cuffs. Or, you can shoot them out of your back when you're on the floor to lift you back onto your feet.
Any thing you have in mind to use this for?
Yes, within reason. Techniques would be tough since it'd have to follow strengths and weaknesses, so use it cautiously. And pushing opponents back would be a definite use yea.First thing that comes to mind is rapid movement. Or Being able to quickly change directions in a strike. Since you describe it as repelling objects around you, im assuming it can go as far as pushing opponents back as well as techniques where plausible.
