Yes it should happen that's the reason they were given lavender eyes. And Bolt is a sensor I think so that's a further sign of his Hyuuga/Uzumaki heritage.
Rinnegan is permanent like Byakugan yet Sharingan was a result of diluted chakra.
Naruto + Hinata = Hagoromo + Hamura
So there is definitely a dojutsu in their genes waiting to get unlocked.

Bolt and Himawari are from a unique, unprecedented gene pool, having both Hagoramo's and Hamura's genes. That alone sanctions something special for them in the future. It'll probably be called an a$$pull, but Kishi will probably give them Byakugan's powers, even if not the eyes themselves.

Maybe they can 'activate' the Byakugan's sensory abilities, showing the veins, but not the actual 'white eye'. The Tenseigan also had Byakugan's abilities, but looked like Bolt's eyes, so the eyes being white may not really be a requirement for the abilities to manifest.
