I actualy thought people would recognize Byakugan after Kaguya having it.

Even after Zetsu byakugan being confirmed, people still hate it...

Why is the Byakugan even in the series? I mean the only time it was really relevant was when Neji was the "boss" character during the Chunin Exams. Since then its been pretty useless since it doesn't give any special power nor does it evolve like the sharingan.

Kishimoto decided to focus all his attention on the sharingan, leaving the byakugan undeveloped.

They are very OP but sonce the chars that have it are only side chars, the potential of it are nerfed down so the spotlight wouldnt be focused on the hyuga
