Byakugan Versus Genjutsu

Something that I failed to notice is that during the Kage Summit Arc... Ao, when confronting Danzo about Shisui's eye, tells Danzo that his byakugan undid the genjutsu that was cast on the Forth Mizukage...

Now since we know it was obito that cast his genjutsu on the Fourth Mizukage, and his genjutsu was a strong enough caliber that could control the Nine-Tails, I was wondering if the byakugan was really that much of a counter for the uchiha eyes or maybe just genjutsu in general.

I know that the Hyuuga clan is exceptional at chakra control but I was wanting to hear some facts/theories on what you guys think/know about this.

i always wondered this, its almost like they have some sort of resistance, i know they can sense it coming though

Wait when did his eye undo it !!! I believe that the Byakugan is a counter to genjutsu as Kakashi hinted Hinata could when he asked her to to see if Obito used it....My guess is that the Byakugan in addition to masterful chakra control allows one to notice the developement of a genjutsu and give them time to release it like they did during the Invasion of Konoha by the Sand and Sound

In the manga, it says "saw through" in the anime it says "undid" either way it got rid of the genjutsu

Not Undid, that he was the only one to see the 4th being manipulated by the dojutsu

I'm pretty sure he just meant that his Byakugan could see through the genjutsu, meaning that he could see that Yagura was being controlled. The Byakugan can see the Chakra pathways, and someone under genjutsu has disturbed chakra pathways. So it is likely that he saw this.

Although, if the genjutsu controlling Yagura was the Kotoamatsukami, its possible that it doesn't act the same way other genjutsus do, as the victim is left completely unaware that they are in a genjutsu.

with byakugan he can see the chakra flow from danzo right eye...... and there is also special condition why he knew that danzo put a genjutsu over mifune, that was because he know the chakra color for that genjutsu since he already fought against shisui before,

that's all there is to it.....
