Byakugan takes lot more chakra than 3T Sharingan?

It's just a question, so please share your thoughts on this.
For a non-Uchiha and a non-Hyuuga, the amount of chakra depleted through the Byakugan is more compared to the amount of chakra depleted through Sharingan?

We have seen Kakashi opening the cover from the Sharingan to use it. But Ao, who got a Byakugan, in both cases, that is, activated and deactivated state, keeps the eye covered. Also the Byakugan is secured. I think the security is activated only if the eye gets attacked. But what if Ao wants to remove the eye-patch?

I don't think that looking good with an eye-patch is a perfect answer for it.

I don't think he can de activate the byakugan. I don't think the byakugan has that much of a toll on Ao.

Suppose if there's no eye-patch on Ao's byakugan and also he don't care whether he looks good with that eye open.
Do you think that will deplete his chakra more than an open-to-surrounding 3T Sharingan of a non-Uchiha?
And we still don't know why the eye-patch was secured.

Because HYUGA or UCHIHA have the ability to activate and deactivate their eyes anytime.
But if eyes are only transplanted, it is permanent activated. Just like kakashi, Ao and danzo. Even danzo's arm. Even Itachi's crow.

The reason why he has a patch is simply to protect the eye, he went through the trouble of stealing the eye, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't want another ninja to steal it from him. There might be ninja with a grudge or maybe assassin's that would think that Ao's byakugan is easier to steal rather than a Hyuga.

No. The eye patch serves no nots le purpose other than to hide his Byakugan. As noted, it could be turned on and off meaning the off stage causes no drainage. The seal tags on his ears only activate when the eye is attacked. Just look at how Danzo reacted to learning one is out there. Tried to trap and take it back.


Nothing we've seen can indicate one drains mode than the other.
