The Hyuga abilities are already quite frightening when you think about it. Even if it is a mild 'power up' by comparison to Uchiha standards of OP - it could give such an endowed Hyuga with a very, very potent edge against an opponent... particularly ones rooted in place atop the head of a giant monster critter.

Though this could be done by introducing a new family art or self-developed ability rather than a power-up to the eye attained by killing people or masturbating in public.

The Byakugan is marveled for it's insight so I think its evolution should play on that.

It should allow one to see and manipulate Natural Energy....that way it can be used to bolster attacks, bolster defense. Basically reinforcing the mastery of Taijutsu with a psudo Sage Mode!

call it the Taikoku Byakugan (the spelling is off, but it means Imperial...Hyuga are a noble or elite clan so Imperial reminds me of that)

It should allow one to see and manipulate Natural Energy....that way it can be used to bolster attacks, bolster defense. Basically reinforcing the mastery of Taijutsu with a psudo Sage Mode!

And I'm glad I'm not alone....I don't want more OP unbeatable moves! I think just giving them a moderate to high boost in their attack strength (through Natural Energy) is what really fits the Hyuga! That way they can combat against the OP Uchiha techs without looking like an absolutely one sided fight!

It would also play on the fact that the Byakugan is known for insight...

Yes I have about 4 chapters posted. I have 5 and 6 in the making and they are almost finished, so they will be out very soon too.

In this fanfic the main protagonists are: Neji, Lee, Hinata, Guy, Tenten, Shikamaru, Naruto and pretty much the rest of the K11. (Team guy and Hinata ( I bet you'd like this KGB ) take the main roles however.)

The main antagonists are: Obito, Akatsuki.

i agree with you as well, it would be totally awesome if they just showed us more about the Hyuga and there Dojutsu as well. In my opinion the Byakugan is perfect the way it is!

It shouldn't get a powerup, it should just multiply the performance of the abilities it already has and grant more powerful attacks and a wider range of rotation.

It should level up, not power up.

I have been in the works of implementing this very style of "upgraded" Byakugan into my own fanfiction. I haven't completely 'revealed' it and how it works, but I've been trying to drop hints in the plot to that effect.
