In terms of the eyes actual abilities and nothing like techniques learned

The Rinnigan works like a camera with linked vision and it is assumed to see some sort of nature chakara; thus one has the potential to learn any nature type of ninjitsu. (AKA great for monitoring and securing an area/learning and defending against ninjitsu)

The Sharingan can process rapid movements, can copy enemy ninjitsu, tiejitsu, and genjitsu, can see the color of chakara, and has an hypnotic ability to suggest movments/control anothers mind. (AKA the best for hand to hand combat)

The Buykugan allows one gain the most information at one time, 360/x-ray/in-depth chrakara network/binocular vision. (AKA Data gathering, coordinating, and trap removal)

this would be the point of each of these eyes

Rinnegan = Best at Ninjutsu
Sharingan = Best at Genjutsu and Taijutsu
Byakugan = Best at ???

There are 3 techniques, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. And Byakugan isn't best at any of them.

Sharingan > Byakugan in Taijutsu because Sharingan allows the user to predict their movement.

So basically I don't see the point of Byakugan. It doesn't have anything unique like the Sharingan and the Rinnegan.

byakugan > sharingan in taijutsu...you can close in the chakra points of a sharingan user in case the guy engages using taijutsu...

for example if it was sasuke vs neji in chuunin exam...if sasuke engages in a taijutsu battle his chakra points will slowly be shut down by neji...the only thing that naruto was lucky about is because he had ninetails chakra in him...

Sharingan helps predict movement...Lets go back to the Chunin exam period , right before the first exam.

We will use 2 average genius Genin: Neji and Sasuke

First Byakugan user: Neji; was said to be stronger then Lee, by his own admittance even tough Neji can't keep up with his speed, his ability to see everything in a 50m radius prevented Lee from using surprise attacks

Second Sharingan user: Sasuke; was proven to be way inferior to Lee because his Sharingan could read the movements of Lee but his body was too slow to react in time

So here we can say that Byakugan > Sharingan in Taijutsu

with the same too Dojutsu bearers;

Neji was able to keep up with Fox chakra mode Naruto, Sasuke him barely was able to. Before you say that Fox cloak mode is faster then Fox Chakra mode, Sasuke had a huge speed boost given to him by copying Lee's Taijutsu and was bestowed with another boos with not only curse mark lvl 1 but Curse mark lvl 2.

Here again, we can say that the byakugan 360 degree sphere of sight is > Sharingan movement prediction.

Since when do any of the eye techniques have a point? The Sharingan covers pretty much everything:

Enhance clarity of vision, increasing ability to effectively employ taijutsu.
Copy ninjutsu, allowing one to master many techniques.
Create and break genjutsu with relative ease.

All three eyes are doujutsu that have specific abilities, and the Byakugan serves its purpose very well for the Hyuuga.

Byakugan is able to recognize jutsu through its chakra network,a byakugan user can anticipate a sharingan or rinnegan user because it would see them from miles away and provide insight before battle and also recognize the users jutsu's they use.which in turn can prepare a strategy to anticipate the target.

the byakugan dude who recognized that danzo was using shisui's jutsu 'koto amatsukumi'
if it wasnt for him,danzo wouldve been boss and the alliance wouldve went to poo! As well as konoha!

if neji notices a sharigan user a mile ahead and also point out who it is,somebody like shikamaru can devise a strategy before battle.because they know who they are dealing with.

he activated his 3 tomoe during the fight with naruto

he only copied his taijutsu art and his speed has increased during the training with kakashi

Well didnt guy said there are over 99 types of jutsus byakugan itself is a type of jutsu namely doujutsu U_U but its great for close combat taijutsu
