Byakugan mutation theory

So it's already been established that The senju came from the Younger son and The Uchiha from the Older son.

The Older son inherited the eyes,powerful chakra,and spiritual energy(which is yin chakra)
which resulted in his eyes,the first mutation of the rinnegan without yang chakra,the swirl may symbolize mind control/genjutsu.
When an uchiha awakens their mangekyou sharingan their chakra's start to resemble genjutsu as stated by Atsui

genjutsu is the yin element or utilizes yin chakra

This is most likely yin chakra because of their relation to the older son.
If you look at the picture of the sage he has in hands yin chakra and yang chakra,the yang chakra is the lighter one

Naruto only has Kurama's yang chakra, and assuming he has the same seal as the sage,his seal should be filled up with yang chakra
if you look at the guy in the middle of the Juubi's mouth he has a swirl looking thing which is yang chakra

Yang symbolizes good,light,the sun and in the yin/yang symbol it's white
Hyuga means towards the sun and Byakugan means white eye

so i think in the time the elder son's blood and chakra was thinning one of his descendants got more yang chakra and it mutated their eyes into byakugan while the uchiha kept his yin chakra and their power up makes them more like that.
pretty much the eyes+yang chakra=byakugan while the eyes+yin chakra=sharingan and it's variants
and this is what was meant that the origins of the uchiha clan lie within the hyuga clan

and why kakashi thought the rinnegan was a mutation because he probably realized sharingan uses yin chakra while byakugan uses yang chakra and that the rinnegan was both

no byakugan is yang+eyes and sharingan is yin+eyes and since the uchiha's are more related to the older son getting more yin chakra from loosing a loved one makes them have an mangekyou and getting two mangekyous equal the older son's yin chakra

Nice work. The thing that kinda destroys their supposed origin is that the Sharingan is considerably stronger than the Byakugan (note: when we pick characters with MS or stronger evolutions of the Sharingan).

We don't know for sure if the Byakugan has an evolution or not....it could be that it is able to evolve into the Elder Son's Dojutsu (The state it had before it could have been corrupted further by darkness).

OT: I think this is very possible! The thought of a descendant being born with the opposite chakra style could also cause him to form the Hyuga clan before the Uchiha Clan. Which helps verify the concept that the Hyuga were Konoha's oldest clan!

Yeah, have to agree with you on that(concerning the Byakugan´s potential). And who knows, maybe the reason why it hasn´t evolved in anyway is because the Hyuga are not obsessed with power and such...if that is what it takes for it to evolve, of course.

Atsui never said they resemble genjutsu, he was referring to when sasuke last used the mangekyou, tsukyumi / sharingan genjutsu. The chakra is presumably the same. So whenever he uses MS / EMS it bodes ominous feelings for sensor types... He wasn't saying that all MS techniques feel like genjutsu, he said it felt like THAT genjutsu, that ONE genjutsu, the one sasuke used when using MS. smh.

I've honestly been thinking it may be the opposite! Hiashi was someone who clearly valued strength. It was the whole reason why he despised his daughter. It could be instead that it takes someone of genuine gentleness or purity to evolve the Byakugan. Someone like Hinata who is genuinly a pacifist.

The reason I'm guessing this is because the Byakugan's evolution could represent the the purity that the Elder Son's dojutsu had. The Sharingan has said to have its power come from corrupted love, so that means at some point this trend was started by this very fashion. I'm guessing that it is when the Sage of Six Paths died, the loss of his father as well as the fact the Younger Sone was chosen to succeed (making him feel like a dissapointment) was this trigger of corruption and possibly a corruption of his dojutsu with the influence presented by the Juubi's influence!
