I meant the bolded. What defense did you create? Is it the stance that is the defense or another kind of defense?

The "defense" in the description means you attack before they attack you. Attack is the best form of defense. By attacking someone who comes to attack you, you have defended yourself from that person.
Have I cleared it? Any question?
