Byakugan is the only eye that can see the chakra points and close them too. That is the most overhaxxed power in the manga. With the chakra points closed, the affected ninja has no chance to realistically continue to fight.

With all fairness, Madara could also see the chakra points in Gai with his rinnegan but it is unknown if he couldve closed or affected the chakra points, as a byakugan user would've been able to do.

And we know, the sharingan is used more for its predictive and memorization/imitation skills than anything else. The sharingan can also see chakra but not the chakra points.

So, it's kinda a toss up. The byakugan is stronger than the sharingan, IMO, until it evolves into the EMS. After that, esp when EMS becomes rinnegan, then its more of a toss up.

The Byakugan cannot close chakra points, the Gentle Fist can do that. You can close chakra points by any means of chakra based attack that hits the points. (Meaning Madara would be able to do it as well.)

The Huuyga places a curse mark on anyone but the main branch, which is most likely to avoid them gaining the true power of their eyes. So the ones that can awaken and gain the true power is only members of the Main Branch, meaning Hinata, Kaguya and Hamura.

Manga states otherwise.

The manga states that Neji was a genius, but he couldn't become an heir of the Hyuuga clan. My theory went around the heir of the Hyuuga, or more so the main branch. (Which is the heir) The manga supports that.

I suggest you to re-read the naruto fight with neji.
I also re-read it when i was making my "naruto will get byakugan" theory.

I think i would have liked your thread more if you focused more on the content of the thread rather than the appearance, the font makes the thread hard to read which motivates the reader to quit midway, something you might not want.

Once you re-read, i don't think you will say what you said just now.
The heir choosing system of hyuuga is not appropriate. They follow the first come first serve method which is wrong as someone(neji) who actually inherited the true power of hyuuga was sent into the side branch.

Here neji mastered a main branch technique without being taught about it :

I think what's more interesting is how did kaguya have an eye which can see chakra points if there was supposedly no chakra until she came and ate the fruit of the shinju?

The eye would've been useless basically, unless kaguya got the byakugan and sharingan at the same time...when she ate the fruit. Which means that she isn't a natural byakugan user.

My point above was that byakugan users can close the chakra pathways/points but obv that is different because kaguya isn't a hyuuga so she wouldn't be privy to that technique.

I've already re-read it, twice to be exact.

Focused more on the content rather than the appearance? You must have avoided reading every other theory I have ever posted, not to mention that this is the default look I use on posts and threads. You are stating that one who has a good looking thread (subjective meaning) cannot have a good informative thread. (You are at least hinting towards that.) Also, I have no personal problems reading this text, and if those who find it slightly annoying to read don't want to read the theory because of that then they were never really that interested in the theory to begin with. So yes, I do want some readers to stop half-way because of it, I want people who are truly interested in the topic to reply.

The Heir system in the Hyuuga clan works as with any traditional clan in history, the main family is the leader and the oldest child of that family is the heir unless they are chosen not to be by the current head of the clan. In other words, unless Hinata's father had chosen Neji, then he would never had a chance at becoming the heir or head. Naturally that role falls to Hinata. What the true power of the Hyuuga's main branch is still unknown to us, or at least its not been proven or said what their real strengths are. Neji managed to master a high-level Ninjutsu of the Main Branch without being taught it. That doesn't make him a heir, nor one to hold the true power of the main branch. That simply makes him a genius and skilled shinobi.

By that logic, if someone masters the Fire Style which is the trademark of the Uchiha clan then they are automatically suited for the next heir or they hold the true power of the Uchiha. (Which is false.) A heir is either chosen or it falls naturally to the oldest child, which is Hinata. Not to mention that the Main Branch is treated as royalty, which may be because of a secret we do not know of. (Such as they may be able to trace their legacy all the way back to Hamura or even Kaguya.)

The font size is too small. I don't understand what is this obsession with small fonts? Can't people make readable theories? Also the color of the font is not helping the cause. You got a white box with a grayish font. It really hurts the eyes. OP please next time think of the viewers and not yourself.

I disagree. The Byakugan is a celestial Dojutsu. Hiashi refers the Hyuga power being the Celestial in chapter 101. Here In Viz Translation Hiashi Quotes "He is truly is... A Fearsome Natural Talent... So The Divine Shinobi Blood of the Hyuga Clan Resides in a child of the cadet Branch who can never become Heir...?"

Here's the words in Japanese

まさに…恐るべき天稟よ… 日向の天忍の血脈は…決して後目と れぬ分家の子に宿っているというの … ヒザシよ…やはり日向の家はお前が 」

Translation : O that truly formidable gift (of his)...the blood of celestial (/space) shinobi of the Hyuga is dwelling (/is prominent) in the branch family child who can never be the head of the clan

Though, to be fair, "divine" tends to refer to Gods or Godesses .... You know, like what Kaguya is.

Then again ... kanjis in Japanese can be read in many ways..... Take Hinata and hyuga. ..... They both can be written using the exact same kanjis

Or the word "kami" can mean many things, from holy, to god, to divine.... So it could be that there are multiple meanings.

I know the viZ scans should be most reliable... But it would seem like the translators thought Divine would suit better than celestial at the time.... I mean, that happened all the way back 500+ chapters ago..... If i was translating that, and came across it.....It would have seemed weird to me for Hiashi to call his clan celestial beings... So it could be a misinterpretation.

However I think it's plausible that the Byakugan is a genetic trait of whatever species Kaguya is. Since it CLEARlY doesn't come from the juubi

I''v always suspected that the the Hyuga never once observed using ninjutsu. Ever. Not once. which ties in with the Moon People and Byakugan is the celestial dojutsu concludes that the Byakugan was among the first dojutsu.

If you look at the Juubi carefully, it shows both the Rinnegan and Sharingan in its eye, yet there is no Byakugan mixed in there, implying it is unrelated. If kishi wanted, he could have made juubi's eyelike obito's war mask so to represent all three eyes; tomoes with ripples and a white colour, yet he makes the juubi's eye red instead.

Then there's the fact that sharingan (in MS/EMS state) and rinnegan have demonic powers unlike Byakugan. There's also the fact that Byakugan is something hyugas are naturally born with, while sharingan has to have special chakra sprout in order to awaken while rennigan needs ashura+indra to awaken.

Also, while Rennigan and sharingan can't be deactivated by foreign users, Byakugan can be. It doesn't really mean much, but it once again shows a difference between the byakugan and the other two eyes.

So knowing that Byakugan is almost certainly NOT apart of the juubi, is it really satisfactory to say Kaguya had it and leave it at that? I don't think so, hence why I believe it is an eye that is naturally found in kaguya's species.

I think rennigan, sharingan, and ALL elemental kekkai genkais came from the juubi. I think the only two kekkai genkai that come from Kaguya and/or her species are the Byakugan and kimimaru's bone manipulation

I've written extensively about the Taoism within Naruto and how the Byakugan embodies Taoism.

Basically - the Byagkuan, at its 'peak' - allows one to be the force of nature, itself.

The Byakugan embodies the Taoist concepts of being a Sage - of mastering the concept of Wei Wu Wei.

The Byakugan can be seen as being attuned to WuJi - "The Great Nothing" - allowing them to mix it with TaiJi (The Great Inspiration) to affect change within the mundane world (what our 'normal world' is referred to as within Japanese Taoism and Buddhism).

Taoism also speaks of the Divine Female - the 'portal' through which yin and yang pass in order to create the ebb and flow of the natural universe.

But - basically - what the Byakugan allows for, in a properly attuned individual, is mastery over the forces of nature with negligible chakra usage (Kaguya's requirement for chakra illustrates that she is not likely the pinnacle of ability - she needs energy to overcome resistance).

The rinnegan is the most pure and original eye. The byakugan only allows a large field of view and for-sight. No abilities or special attributes beside that. Kaguya has them because she's supposed to have all the three eye powers. Her rinnegan contains the power of both the sharingan and rinnegan of course.

You're so certain? The Byakugan is older, and it may contain more power than we know, not to mention that we know close to nothing about it nor about the secrets of the Hyuuga clan.

the hype and abilities pretty much says Rinnegan > Byakugan. And that's not mentioning the fact that any schlub fodder can implant and use Byakugan with almost nonexistent consequences to their stamina/health.

Byakugan is the only eye that can see the chakra points and close them too. That is the most overhaxxed power in the manga. With the chakra points closed, the affected ninja has no chance to realistically continue to fight.
really? X-Ray vision is the most overhaxxed power in the manga? :what:

And we know, the sharingan is used more for its predictive and memorization/imitation skills than anything else. The sharingan can also see chakra but not the chakra points.
what it sees are the 8 gates, which is actually better. Byakugan can only see the points, which is something that can be replicated in Shadow Clones.
The byakugan is stronger than the sharingan, IMO, until it evolves into the EMS. After that, esp when EMS becomes rinnegan, then its more of a toss up.
wait a min. You're saying Byakugan is actually stronger than a MS? Not by a long shot. No one's Byakugan is better than a MS, save for Kaguya's....maybe.

The Byakugan is what is people......it sees chakra points, and it can see far off in the distance, and can almost help the user see in 360 degrees......thats it.

Theres no secret hidden story to the Byakugan, it isn't as powerful as the rinnegan or the sharigan.....

You don't see Madara, Obito, Danzo, Oruchimaru, Zetzu falling over themselves to get a byakugan.....

Kaguya was nothing special in till she got the tree fruit power, she just happened to be a Hyuga....

there is many condition to awake the sharengarn true power exe :- u must kill ur closest friend to gain the ms
and u must transplant ur brother is sharengan into ur eyes to gain the ems
thats mean if someone from the uchiha didnt have a friends or brothers will not awake the sharengan true power and even if he was able to gain ms his end will be a blind eye sooner or later (( its all matter of time to lost everything -_-))
but the The Byakugan till now its a strong eye with no risk for losing anything and any family members and friends
& we still dont know its true power ((yet))

its a good theory
but i think byakugan is a mutation that happened after kaguya ate the fruit
its the human body/eye mutating to be compatible witrh chakra

The Byakugan is so much more than that.

The Byakugan allows one to see chakra on the whole - it allows one to see the cycle of yin and yang within the mundane world.

Of course, the true ability of the Byakugan doesn't really 'work' until it is paired with the understanding of a true Sage. That is when the Byakugan becomes the ultimate tool for the sage as it allows one to govern destiny and control the forces of nature, themselves.

Theres no secret hidden story to the Byakugan, it isn't as powerful as the rinnegan or the sharigan.....

Well, except for the fact that "God" has it - and all other eye techniques spawn from the Holy Tree.

You don't see Madara, Obito, Danzo, Oruchimaru, Zetzu falling over themselves to get a byakugan.....

Because the Hyuuga seal made it next to impossible to get one.

Further, the fact that Kaguya had the Byakugan seems to have been a relatively little known factoid that perhaps only Orochimaru knew.

And he sent Kabuto to heal Hinata during the Chuunin exams.

Kaguya was nothing special in till she got the tree fruit power, she just happened to be a Hyuga....

She doesn't have the power of the fruit as it is - and she's pretty kick-ass. Though Kishimoto has played fast and loose with the idea of chakra (it is necessary to absorb it like some kind of finite resource or property, yet things function perfectly fine for the bad guys and the heroes without the amounts they are supposed to have) - so it's kind of hard to tell what the hell is really going on.

She was insanely powerful even before consuming the fruit. That is precisely why she consumed the fruit.

Ask yourself a simple question.

Have you -ever- seen a Hyuuga utilize a ninjutsu?

Even the most basic of them - like a substitution or clone - something immensely useful for a close combat fighter?

They do not use ninjutsu. There is a reason why, be it that they can't or be it that they have a conviction not to.

There is about to be a series of monologues explaining things, as well as a flashback to Hinata's mother, I suspect.

The Byakugan has it's niche already compared to the other 2 Doujutsu.

The Rinnegan is supremely powerful, however can only be obtained with the chakra of the the Sage of the Six Paths, being a combination of Indra's and Asura's. The sheer power and majesty of the doujutsu is balanced out with how astronomically rare that is.

The Sharingan is very powerful, however it has very noticeable side effects to it's usage. Further, it is more common than the Rinnegan. It would be possibly just as common as the Byakugan if not for the history of the Uchiha clan.

The Byakugan is also powerful, however it is not as strong as the sharingan or the rinnegan. That fact is balanced out however by the lack of side effects to it's usage. Those using the Rinnegan must be blessed by fate to even possess it, and those using the Sharingan must be cold and calculating to not spoil away their precious light. The Byakugan user however, can use the whole range of their ocular abilities at length without worrying about their 'light'.

I think it's fair where its at.
