By the end of this arc, or maybe by the final war, Doflamingo and Luffy will be allies. Not the sticky Luffy and Law type, but more like Luffy and Crocodile.

This just came to my head, but Luffy and Doffs have many similarities. Neither of them had any real connection with their parents, or time to really know them and were raised by (or with) their brothers. Both are associated with Noble families, Luffys brother being a member and Doffs actually being one, and both rose above those families.

Both also know how it feels to lose someone close, extremely close (Doff losing his mother and Luffy losing Ace), but have extremely different morals. What I mean by that is that Doff will not hesitate to kill someone close to another person but Luffy will if he has knowledge on their relationship, because he can relate.

So... the fight will still happen and everything, but by the end of this Luffy will spare Doflamingo and his allies and tell his crew not to kill any of them because he understands how close they are and can relate to the environment they grew up in.

Anybody agree?

Not a doffy-like thing... assuming he won't get killed by Kaido.

Doflamingo raised with or by a Brother/s? [manga? haven't seen that]

Although i like it when Luffy beats someone into joining his crew [< LoL]

this is one guy who will probably die, maybe not ultimately at Luffy's hand, but a finishing blow from Law, Kaido etc.....

I mean you have to remember even if Luffy just wants to kick his ass, Law holds a very serious grudge

I don't think Doffy would do that. It would screw everything his character stands for.

Doffy is too arrogant for that. I don't know about an alliance but Doffy's pride will be completely crushed after this arc and he'll be taken to Impel Down by Fuji IMO.

Tried to look back for the page, I couldn't find the quote. Odd though I could have sworn I read that they grew up together.

Well it was implied depending on how you read it.

I'd appreciate if somebody could explain.

And I said not a tight Luffy and Law type relationship, but like him and Crocodile. Not exactly friends, but working together for a common goal. I don't see how that would ruin his character or take away any credit from his evil charisma.

Basically;

Let's get the similarities out of the way:
1. Both are pirates
2. Both care deeply about their crew

That is about the end of it.

Doffy is too vicious, killed too many people, [despite saying he killed his father], still has clear power and ties with the World Government as a Celestial Dragon when you take into account his use of the world press and CP0 that even Fujitora and Akainu did not know about.

He has been written to seem a merciless tyrant that only holds his companions dear, [ he even threatened to kill a senior WG figure when asked about Moriah's disappearance]

And of course pissed off Law to an extent that Law wants him dead.

Doffy is a ''smart madman'', and isn't someone the SH could be an ally with as he is as firm in his convictions as luffy is

if a

I agree with the last part, but just because they share similarities (one of which is wrong, when was it stated that Doflamingo was raised by some sort of brotherly figure or even with someone of that nature? O__o) doesn't mean they will be allies?
