Buying a Laptop wat do?

I plan on purchasing a laptop but i'm giving myself a budget of around $800-$1,000. I'm not sure which one to buy since

I want a laptop that I can comfortably play recent and future games on and have relatively good fps.

I was looking at the Lenovo Y50 but i'm getting mixed feedback.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

If you still want a laptop, I think you should look at Dell, because their after-sales service is really good.

I suggest building one. Trust, once you really get into gaming, it becomes a speed addiction.

Razerblades or the MSI laptops are great for gaming, but too expensive, and there is no such thing as a futuristic gaming laptop. But anyways, as others have said, building a PC is better, cheaper and more resilient. Integrated hardware sucks anyway.

The problem with dell is, you can't mostly use aftermarket replacement parts or any other licensed parts, plus the charge a lot for most replacement parts from dell, I've had some shitty experience with dell.

That's funny because I have a dell laptop and its been working fine for the last 3 years, except perhaps the battery.

P.S: I think a cooler is an absolute must for a gaming laptop.

Yea but if you do turn out unfortunate and something goes wrong, you can't expect a great customer support by dell. And replacing broken parts(from dell) becomes a pain if you don't have alot of money on you mate. Yet another reason i prefer computers for gaming. Consoles are also a pain in this case. If you fry any internal part of a console, replacing it costs more than the damn thing.

That's not what I'm saying, I have had dell laptops, longevity depends on use. I'm talking about part replacements, Alienware is known for using shitty components. Many laptops triumph dell, Asus for instance.

OT: Building a PC would be a lot better. You could build a decent PC for $800 and buy a $200 laptop for school work.
