Alright now let me break this shit down since people dont seem to get the difference between Sasuke and Gaara.
Gaara:
>Felt alone
>Wanted acceptance
>Can't feel physical pain cuz sand shields him(straight from his mothers coochie)
>Mom's brother let him feel he is not alone
>Mom's brother tried to kill him
>He kills mom's brother unknowingly
>Mom's brother tell him he's a monster before dying
>Loses it
>Need a purpose
>Alone and hated
>Called a monster
>Finds answer: Lives to kill
>Becomes a weapon for his village
>Later found he was not alone
>Put in work(like a baws)
>Became accepted
>Became Kazekage
>Became a hero
And note that the only time he never did something unacceptable and him being "forgiven" was simply the peace treaty between both villages because Orochimaru was the one pulling the strings by killing their Kazekage and acting as him.
Sasuke:
>Brother kills clan
>Becomes a missing nin(kaput 1)
>Joins the man who killed a kazekage, hokage, konoha and is a missing nin himself(kaput 2)
>Lives for revenge
>Kills his brother
>Finds he was ordered
>Joins a criminal organization(kaput 3)
>Tries to capture a jinchuriki and gets spotted, sets off what could trigger a war between konoha and kumo(kaput 4)
>Kage summit happens as a counter measure to akatsuki
>Shows up, kills many samurai and the hokage, takes an arm of the raikage, refuse an offer from Gaara pleading it's not too late yet, says his only goal is in darkness and gets labeled an international criminal(kaput 5)
>Tries to kill his teammates(kaput 6)
>His same organization starts a world war where the leader of the group wants world domination(kaput 7)
>Comes to warfield claiming to be on their side, says he gonna become hokage.(I thought I was reading a parody)
So is Sasuke like Gaara? Perhaps he was similar at first but his actions are way more severe. He is way beyond redemption but Kishimoto is making it look like he hasn't done anything this recent chapter.
Gaara should not be compared to Sasuke. He is naive but he is a way better character then Sasuke and he was within reason of being redeemed. Sasuke is a flip flopping emo who doesn't know what he's doing and can't think for himself.
