I'll start a joint business with my homie. Should it be a restaurant or a laundromat or game store or gas station

Restaurant because you dont want ugly death metal listeners with long hair and beard to come to your game store to exchange the newest game they just bought with their oily fingers

Bruh, I am in the same predicament. I can't start a software company with the money I have. I want something small that can bloom.

* I thought of a IT company since I am well versed on it, but I am currently not ready in terms of fees(I am not into convincing investors)

* Start a small clothing brand using my friend's skills(funding his talent he already created a few caps, since he is broke with good talent and huge following base from ladies) and get a 65% stake share but that seems to good to be true, he also not that dumb to allow a major share like that.

* A private software developing course for wanna be's but that requires gigantic amount of paperwork, certifications, being examined and huge maintenance filled with uncertainties.

So I am basically in a state of asking myself what business is small but big enough for boom can my capital have...

Your business startup should be about what you enjoy doing. I've read quotes of successful billionaires, and their number one suggestion on a business startup was what you enjoy the most. If your business startup consists of something else that you don't find enjoyable, and sees loses in its first establishment, then you'll naturally give up your goals of entrepreneurship. You wouldn't give up if your started a business selling what you enjoy most.

You should formulate research based on what is the most profitable business in your region, because you don't want to invest a lot of money on a business that's not popular within the region you live at. I would suggest you to explore markets and ask people what they demand most. This will help you create a marketing plan, which will show you the list of demands customers want and will accelerate your business growth. Actually, if you do market research on this and submit it to you investors, it's likely they will invest in your business, increasing your capital, though your research should be academically accurate.

Refer to post #6. There are options you could raise capital to support your business. Anywhere from bank loans, loans from family/friends, private investors, etc. You'll have to be prepared for complex negotiation, though.

It's case by case basis, but wouldn't advise restaurant not sure how business is for the other ones. But try picking one that you think you could be successful in, understand and preferably has low costs and brings high revenue

Quit now, nearly 60% of small businesses fail within the first 5 years. An overwhelming majority of successful small businesses had a launching platform. Unless you have loans from several banks that total up around 90k, I recommend you and your friend find an actual profession.
