Depending upon the context you have to guess the exact meaning :

OP= Openning post (the first post of the thread)
OP=Over powered

In reference to another manga OP= One Piece.

I always thought it to be 'Opening Post' when relating to forums, good to know I was wrong, for all these years..

I thought it either meant Over Powered when talking about a character or Opening Poster referring to the one who made the thread or first post.
