A young girl in the US who relentlessly bullied a classmate for her fashion sense was forced to wear old clothes from a thrift store as punishment.
Ten-year-old Kaylee from the US state of Utah, whose last name remains anonymous, was forced to wear clothes from a charity store for two days after her stepmother, Ally, found out she had bullied a girl so badly that she didn't want to go to school anymore.
Ally received an email from one of Kaylee’s teachers saying the bullying had been going on for three weeks, telling her victim she dressed “like a sleaze”, among other harsh words.
But after Kaylee showed no remorse for her actions, Ally decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.
“I thought this is a perfect moment for us to really teach her, this is right, this is wrong, which path are you going to take? And then it’s her choice,” Ally told Fox 13.
The next morning Kaylee awoke to find an outfit laid out for her from a charity store, including an old pair of sandshoes.
"I died. I did," Kaylee said.
In the two days she had to dress in the outfits selected, she became the target of bullying herself.
But in the end Kaylee said she had learned a lesson – that bullying is “stupid” and “it hurts people”.
