Yes he was hated but besides that he basically a god of Shinobi

Now for Hashirama. Does it look like he struggled I mean damn he's the only person in the world to naturally have Mokuton (wood style) on top off the fact he is considered the strongest senju ever. Now we don't know all that much about him but from what he got it seems like Hashirama never went through any major life shattering strugglings.

I pretty much didn't take it seriously after you said naruto didn't work hard but I continued to read anyway. Honestly I actually get what you are saying to a certain degree but come on, think about it in terms of plot.

Are they really going to show Naruto trying to master a jutsu in like a few years time? No. Can't even begin to tell you how boring that would be for the show or the manga.
