Budget for a 10 day trip to Japan!

Heya Peeps,

I have been thinking of going over to japan for a 10 day vacation. I think, i will go there by the middle of next month. (15th aug highly) But since living in japan is expensive, I am quite unsure of my budget. My current budget is around $2500. Any ideas??

Visiting will not be a problem once i get there, but money can be an issue, since i will be carrying cash with me.

So what do you think of a good budget will be??

I travel a lot even though I've been taking a break the last few months. Best tips for planning a vacay.

These are thou commandments for travel, tis be absolute.

1. What is the currency exchange rate
2. What part of town do you want to be located in
3. What is the price of an average motel or hotel in the desired location
4. What transportation is available and how much
5. Find locations to visit not too far from your central location
6. Learn the basics of the language(I.e, "hi", "thank you", "where is..", "How do you get..")Tour books help
7. Have a strict food budget and google restaurants for price ideas
8. Make sure your devices/phones adapters can work in that country
9. If possible avoid tourist attractions since they're always pricey, but if so determine the prices beforehand
10. Bring safety net cash(I.e, incase you lose your phone, incase the price raises on something, for all possible emergencies)​

With all that you should be able to determine how much money you need. This is a proven formula I've learned from experience and it's never failed.
