As you know today is October 21, 2015, the same time that Doc and Marty traveled to. Since it's that time now, there should be flying cars, hover boards, a win for the cubs, etc. right? Not exactly, and I have a theory as to why ( I know it's just a movie, but this theory makes sense ).
We are living in an alternate future :NO:. Everything changed once Marty decided not to give in to peer pressure(being called a chicken for not doing something), which avoided the accident he was supposed to have and so on. And so instead of flying cars, hover boards, etc, we have smartphones, Internet, wireless tech etc.
