Minato still was able to get out only due to his FTG... not his BM godly speed as some will say. Yes, I believe SM played great part while Naruto was able to ressist longer then Minato who lost all chakra even although using FTG.. while Naruto lost kurama avatr but still was able to keep human Sage tailed beast mode look.

After sarutobi freed naruto(note jyubi can absorb sage mode kishi and plot holes the host is superior to the jyubi so obito should have nullified or absorbed) he started to absorb chakra from minato so he could fight alongside Sasuke so where did the chakra come from? edos get regenerated but Kuramas chakra was drained stopping Minato from saving naruto. but he still had his cloak so still had chakra see the plot hole dude. If you look at Nardo kyubi chakra goes first then sage mode then narutos own when sarutobi saves him. he should have turned to stone since he absorbed in kyubi chakra mode and since kyubi chakra was gone natural energy would become unbalanced. see the plothole dude. And Minato is Edo kyubi is not since tailed beasts dont die.
I cant appreciate massive plot holes you cant make somebody like obito super powerful then let sage mode hurt him and the jyubi drain it like its small potatoes.

Im pretty sure Naruto wasn't trying to overpower him. For some odd reason, they know how to match their attacks. Had naruto wanted to overpower sasuke he would of went Sm or put more chakra in that rasengan.
