The reason, why Sasuke used Susanoo to cover Kurama is simple. Obito destroyed Narutos Bijū-Mode and Sasukes Susanoo(v3) shortly before Sasuke stabilized Shugenja-armor of Susanoo. So, to protect his friend and to fight together, he combined their strength.

It proves the exact opposite, as BSM Shroud was 'Protected and Shielded' by EMS PS. It's Sasuke, whose PS Sword delivered the final Blow. Don't know how anyone would interpret it that way, as it's V3 plus Senjutsu that has been shown to be equal to BSM.
