(Jeet Kune Do) The Way of the Intercepting Fist
Type: Taijutsu
Background:
Jeet Kun Do is a hybrid martial arts system and life philosophy founded by martial artist Bruce Lee with direct, non classical and straightforward movements. Due to the way his style works they believe in minimal movement with maximum effect and extreme speed. The system works on the use of different 'tools' for different situations. These situations are broken down into ranges (Kicking, Punching, Trapping and Grappling), with techniques flowing smoothly between them. It is referred to as a "style without style". Unlike more traditional martial arts, Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned, and is a philosophy with guiding thoughts. It was named for the concept of interception, or attacking your opponent while he is about to attack. He believed that combat was spontaneous, and that a martial artist cannot predict it, only react to it, and that a good martial artist should "Be like water" and move fluidly without hesitation. Water is infinitely flexible. It can be seen through, and yet at other times it can obscure things from sight. It can split and go around things, rejoining on the other side, or it can crash through things. It can erode the hardest rocks by gently lapping away at them or it can flow past the tiniest pebble. The user needs to calm his mind completely, focus and wait for the opponent to strike. They will then use the opponents attacking force against them as the user moves in a relaxed state with fluid motion to take advantage of the opponents openings as the opponent attacks. Someone who masters Jeet Kun Do would have great reaction time, triple of what they had before being able to react instantly to normal taijutsu users. In close range a Jeet Kun Do master (like Bruce) can move a limb in the blink of an eye with great force, quickly catching the opponent off guard. Jeet Kune Do seeks to waste no time or movement, teaching that the simplest things work best.

Economy of motion is the principle by which Jeet Kun Do practitioners achieve:
Efficiency: An attack which reaches its target in the least amount of time, with maximum force.
Directness: Doing what comes naturally in a disciplined way.
Simplicity: Thinking in an uncomplicated manner; without ornamentation.
This is meant to help a practitioner conserve both energy and time; two crucial components in a physical confrontation. Maximized force seeks to end the battle quickly due to the amount of damage inflicted upon the opponent. Rapidity aims to reach the target before the opponent can react, which is half-beat faster timing, learned in Wing Chun and Western boxing.

When confronting an incoming attack, the attack is parried or deflected and a counter attack is delivered at the same time. Not as advanced as a stop hit but more effective than blocking and counter attacking in sequence. This is practiced by some Chinese martial arts. Simultaneous parrying & punching utilizes the principle of economy of motion by combining attack and defense into one movement thus minimizing the "time" element and maximizing the "energy" element. Efficiency is gained by utilizing a parry rather than a block. By definition a "block" stops an attack whereas a parry merely re-directs an attack. Redirection has two advantages: It requires less energy to execute; it utilizes the opponents energy against them by creating an imbalance. Efficiency is gained in that the opponent has less time to react to the nullification of their attack while having to worry about defending an incoming attack.
Low kicks
JKD practitioners believe they should target their kicks to their opponent's shins, knees, thighs, and mid section. These targets are the closest to the foot, provide more stability and are more difficult to defend against. However, as with all other JKD principles nothing is "written in stone". If a target of opportunity presents itself, even a target above the waist, one could take advantage of the situation without feeling hampered by this principle. Maintaining low kicks utilizes the principle of economy of motion by reducing the distance a kick must travel thus minimizing the "time" element.
Five ways of attack
* Simple Angular Attack (SAA) / Simple Direct Attack (SDA). Is a simple motion (punch or kick) which moves with no effort to conceal it, directly to the target on the most economical route. It can be indirect, beginning on one line and ending on another. Such as a punch that starts to the stomach (mid line) and ends on the chin (high line). SAA is an attack that is launched from an unanticipated angle that is achieved by moving in such a way as to create an open line into which to strike.
* Attack By Combinations (ABC). This is using multiple rapid attacks, with volume of attack as a means of overcoming the opponent.
* Progressive Indirect Attack (PIA). Simulating an attack to one part of the opponent's body, followed by attacking another part, as a means of creating an opening.
* Hand Immobilization Attack (HIA) and its counterpart Foot Immobilization * attack, which make use of trapping/parrying to limit the opponent's function with that appendage.
Attack By Drawing (ABD). The goal when using attack by draw is to "draw" the opponent into a committed attack by baiting him into what looks like an exposed target, then intercepting his motion. One can execute a motion that invites a counter, then counter attack them as he takes the bait
Additional effects and Restrictions:
- Can only be taught to Sannin and above who have learned basic taijutsu.
- To master the user must learn the style of fighting, all of it's techniques and spar with the creator in a Taijutsu only match.
- A master of this will gain a calm mind which is needed for most martial arts.
- User of this style gains 3x the ability to read through enemy taijutsu and movement, capable of reacting with enourmous speed when compared to an average Strong Fist user. This, however, doesn't refer to running speed which suffers no differance and in essence the movement speed of the users body is only slightly above that of a normal Strong Fist user. However, coupled with the increased reaction time it makes the user capable of defending against most moves of Strong Fist with ease.
- The reaction speed boost and heighten capability to track movement are less than that of a 1T sharingan and can't be added to the normal tracking/reaction speed of a Sharingan. Further more, it doesn't add to the normal tracking/reactions speeds of Swift Release or of EIG and is, in basis about the same as the first while much less than the second.

Description: The one inch punch is a skill which uses explosive power to generate tremendous amounts of impact force at extremely close distances. When performing this one inch punch the practitioner stands with his fist very close to the target, A quick movement of the wrist produces the force needed, the wrist is held with the knuckles facing out on a horizontal axis, the wrist is then moved up and a strike is produced with the bottom two knuckles.
Note: Must know Jeet Kun Do.
Note: Each punch counts as one of the users moves per turn.

Description: This is an advanced form of The intercepting fist. The user will run electricity through their hands and When the user is being punched or kicked the user with fast reactions as well as fast movements that "Jeet Kune Do" provides, will quickly react by taking palm and swiping the punch or kick away. The user can either hit the opponents Fist/hand/foot directly or hit their wrist, mid forearm, ankle or mid leg section to swipe away the attack. but will send a shock through the opponents limb, paralyzing it, making them unable move it for one turn. The user can then strike the opponent. This technique wastes no movement and charging of the chakra will take two seconds. The movement of the user himself is limited to his own skill of what he has learned wether he is a specialist in Taijutsu or a Taijutsu master and Jeet Kune Do's abilities which is being able to move limbs in a fast pace, the speed they can intercept would have to be a little slower than the users speed. It cannot intercept swift users, EIG users, Sage Mode users or any other speed enhancing modes/techniques that would grant the opponent those levels of speed or speed that's above the user. Due to the boost that Jeet Kune Do training provides, the user tries to be faster as well as to move like water to get around opponents attacks as they were taught to. So it is by this the user can only intercept Non Enhanced Taijutsu. The movement speed of the user is only slightly above that of a normal Strong Fist user. However, coupled with the increased reaction time it makes the user capable of defending against most moves of Strong Fist with ease.

(Ame Odori) Rain Dance

Description: After using a technique that causes rain to fall from the sky, the user will then push chakra to their feet and will be able to push off of the drops of water with their feet, tho they must be quick when doing so. This jutsu derives from a ninja's ability to walk on water no matter how thin or small the water source is so it does not require suiton chakra to perform, this is just a more intense version the requires fast reflexes and movement to accomplish.
Notes:
- The user can move freely on the water drops.
- Must know my "Jeet Kun Do" in order to perform this as it allows you to move a limb in the blink of an eye.

This is basically the user adding chakra to the Jeet Kun Do style, increasing speed and force of impact on strikes to make the true abilities of the Jeet Kun Do style stand out. History
Lee was born in both the hour and the year of the Dragon which in this cultural tradition is considered a strong and fortuitous omen. During his child-hood, he was picked on by kids because he perfered Taijutsu over Ninjutsu, kids thought he was stupid for his way of thinking, saying the phrase "What good is a ninja if he doesn't try to kill as quickly as possible?", starting naive miss-guided arguments with Lee that ended up with him getting into fights. Tho Lee enjoyed Taijutsu more than Ninjutsu, he wasn't particularly good in actual combat. He was often beat up fairly easy, he was the type of guy that knew more about fighting than anyone else but never had the mind set to use it in actual combat, as he would just go blank during fights. His parents often worried about him, his Dad however was stuck in his ways and liked that Bruce was being bullied as it would teach him to stand up for himself. That however, soon happened. At the age of 10, Lee was given a new outlook on mental perception, he figured it was time to beat the bullies at their own game. Lee began training in elements to build up his ninjutsu, it was soon that he realized that he was advanced in ninjutsu, but not without hard work and effort. He trained daily and had to have complete focus and constant reasoning for motivation as he wasn't that interested in Ninjutsu. One day while out riding his bike to a groccery store for his parents, he rode by a bar and stopped after hearing the sound of shouting and gun fire. It was then that he Saw a tall man in dark Red jacket, blonde spiky hair and shades, this mans name was Toku. Toku was calm easy going kind of guy, he didn't want trouble but he could surely handle any trouble given to him, he was a calm generous man and the life of the party after a drink. Toku was sipping from a shot glass as the noise happened. Bruce turned his head to see a man standing beside Toku with an evil look in his eyes and a big grin on his face. Of course, this man was simply challenging Toku to prove his masculinity in front of his girlfriend. The man grabbed Toku by the collar with both hands, suddenly, two hands sprouted out from Toku's chest and grabbed the mans collaras Toku set his shot glass down next to 8 empty ones. The man looked down at the hands with his eyes widening and the hands suddenly went inside the mans body, grabbed his ribs, and ripped each bone out one by one with the man screaming in agony. The man tried shooting Toku, but he just healed back instantly as if every shot was a miss. The man fell to the floor with his ribs completely torn out from him as red eyes lit from underneath Toku's jacket and slowly faded. Toku then looked behind him and Bruce suddenly peddled off as fast as he could. On his way back from the store, he was suddenly interrupted on his bike ride back home by some kids from the ninja acedemy, the same ones who would pick on bruce. The big one named "Abura" ran across him and pushed his bike down, him and the rest of the kids suddenly jumped Bruce and proceeded to fight him, Bruce was helpless, they beat him up so badly that he even had a big gash in his right arm. After a half hour they finally got bored of beating him around, stole his bike and left him in a ditch as he started to die from bloodloss. His eye lids drifting every second until suddenly he passed out from blood loss. He soon woke in an unfamiliar place. He looked to his right to see a red jacket hanging on the wall. His eyes opened completely in shock. He then slowly turned his head to the left to see Toku sitting in a chair. "You were almost dead when I found you" Toku said. Bruce was speechless, he was too terrified to say anything after what he had seen. Toku then said "Your arm was bleeding pretty badly, however I managed to heal you by repairing your cells, you should be fine, just eat some sweets to get your blood going again and you'll be fine.". Bruce looked to his right arm and realized it was healed. He suddenly became calm, realizing that this man couldn't be so scary if he actually saved his life. Bruce Told Toku of what happened, and through Toku's Generosity, he began to teach Bruce the Fire Element, teaching him to defend himself. Daily, Bruce would visit Toku for training. Finally, after 3 months, Bruce had mastered Fire release. The bullies came to bruce at the end of the academy day as usual, but this time However, when they touched Bruce, his body heat burned them. Making him untouchable, this allowed Bruce to clear his mind and focus, he used everything he knew in martial arts, mixed Ninjutsu and Taijutsu together and create an epic duo that beat the stuffing out of those kids. They then tried Running, Bruce let them run, all of them, besides Abura. He pulled Abura back by his shirt and whaled on his head, leaving 3rd degree burns that covered Aburas body. Lee then Let Abura go, Abura not even able to move from the burning pain all over his body. Lee got on his bike and peddled hard over to Toku's home. He ran up to the door only to find a note that said. "Bruce, you are a very talented fighter and I'm sure you will make a great, fine shinobi some day. However, I'm sorry that I can no longer train you. I have been running from traveling ninja world only on vacation. If you want to further your training with me, then when you are older, and have furthered your ninjutsu and chakra control. Come to Iwagakure, where I am the Kage. From there I will take you as my personal student and you will train under me." And Bruce did just that. 4 years later, after vigorous ninjutsu training, he left his home and set out to Iwagakure where he trained with Toku and met some great friends. His first friend there was named Serpent, Bruce and Serpent sparred quite often, Bruce looked up to Serpent and thought of him as his rival. Impressed and high hopes for Bruce, Serpent let Bruce sign the condor contract and Taught Bruce his custom techniques as well. It was there that Bruce could see improvement rapidly and constantly. Bruce also met a man named Howard, Bruce and Howard became rivals as well, but to a much more extent, they fought constantly, Bruce always lost, but with training from Toku and battle training from Frederick, the tables had soon turned. Bruce and Howard became even in battle and then Bruce started to surpass Howard. Howard and Bruce became close friends, they learned they has a lot in common, and even questioned if they were some how cloned, they were so identical in terms of personality, it was incredible. As Bruce progressed in his abilities, he soon re-joined his old love for Taijutsu and developed his own style called Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kun Do is a hybrid martial arts system and life philosophy founded by martial artist Bruce Lee with direct, non classical and straightforward movements. Due to the way his style works they believe in minimal movement with maximum effect and extreme speed. The system works on the use of different 'tools' for different situations. These situations are broken down into ranges (Kicking, Punching, Trapping and Grappling), with techniques flowing smoothly between them. It is referred to as a "style without style". Unlike more traditional martial arts, Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned, and is a philosophy with guiding thoughts. It was named for the concept of interception, or attacking your opponent while he is about to attack. He believed that combat was spontaneous, and that a martial artist cannot predict it, only react to it, and that a good martial artist should "Be like water" and move fluidly without hesitation. Water is infinitely flexible. It can be seen through, and yet at other times it can obscure things from sight. It can split and go around things, rejoining on the other side, or it can crash through things. It can erode the hardest rocks by gently lapping away at them or it can flow past the tiniest pebble. The user needs to calm his mind completely, focus and wait for the opponent to strike. They will then use the opponents attacking force against them as the user moves in a relaxed state with fluid motion to take advantage of the opponents openings as the opponent attacks. Someone who masters Jeet Kun Do would have great reaction time, triple of what they had before being able to react instantly to normal taijutsu users. In close range a Jeet Kun Do master (like Bruce) can move a limb in the blink of an eye with great force, quickly catching the opponent off guard. Jeet Kune Do seeks to waste no time or movement, teaching that the simplest things work best. Bruce studied this style greatly, but it was then that one day, something clicked, he discovered a new chakra, something different. He told Toku about this chakra and Toku told Bruce about an old clan of a kekke genkai known as Swift release. Amazed by this, Bruce trained in this chakra and finally mastered it's manipulation completely. He implemented this into his own Taijutsu movements, and was able to use shadowless flight, a technique that he had heard about from Toku. It was soon that he met a man by the name of Dan, Dan and Bruce clicked, they became friends instantly after meeting and soon Dan trained Bruce in Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and further his training greatly in Taijutsu. Dan was a very generous guy, he even taught Bruce his custom elements, Carbon and Caramel. Dan and Bruce even lived together at one time, that time however was very hectic. Dan have Mangekyo Sharingan, he constantly put Bruce through genjutsus just for kicks. Regardless of these pranks Dan was a free spirit, confident in his own abilities and very powerful, and skillful. Dan and Bruce had fun together, they trained constantly but overall they were great friends, 4 years had passed through these times and soon after training, Dan left Bruce to go "traveling through ninja world", secretly, Dan was the leader of Akatsuki at the time. But Bruce never knew seeing as Dan always left his robe off so that he could "play around" with women. He was a true pervy sage. It was a year after Dan had left Bruce that the new leader of Akatsuki Came to Bruce's home in Iwagakure in the middle of the night. Bruce invited him in, unknowing of who he was. The man asked Bruce to join Akatsuki. Deep inside, Bruce knew it was wrong, but he knew that Iwagakure couldn't improve him and more than what he was at. He needed moore power, more skill to become the ninja he always had wanted to be. Heartless as it was, Bruce cut the bonds of Iwagakure and left for akatsuki. Weeks passed and suddenly while Bruce was on a mission, Serpent showed up. Serpent tried to bring Bruce back, but he wouldn't listen to reason. Serpent tried to bring Bruce back by force and they had a long drawn out battle, but it ended with Bruce escaping. He didn't want to fight the ones he once called comrades and he still thought of them as his friends. But he couldn't let himself be at a stand point, he put himself before his friends, before anyone and everyone and stayed in the Akatsuki to improve. Exactly one year had passed, Bruce formed a team, this team was Called Taka, they seeked to destroy any village who held power, they targeted several. They attacked Sunagakure, however, during their attack he saw that his old friend Dan was now in the village. Shocked by this, him and his team stood down and headed back to Amegakure. When he left, he met a man by the name of Rexii who wanted to join, Bruce agreed to let him join and headed back. On their way back from Sunagakure, Bruce went to drop off Howard at Iwagakure. But suddenly they saw a man attacking Iwagakure, this man was Kirabi, the legendary 8 tailed Jinchuuriki. Kirabi was in Fang mode and that's when Bruce decided to defend his village souly from the feeling that he cared about the village still. Howard and Bruce fought on edge with Kirabi, until suddenly, Bruce stabbed a kunai into Kirabi's throat and out of no where Goro, a Taka member appeared, trapping Kirabi and a huge explosion happened as he was trapped in a barrier. The smoke cleared and kirabi was standing next to non other than Mugiwara. Kirabi healed himself with his Samehada. Bruce and Howard knew they were out matched as soon as they saw Mugi, being as powerful as he is. Mugi however did not want a fight, and Bruce and Howard however were relieved. Mugi and Kirabi fled, and the second they did, Bruce fell to his knees from being exhausted. After attacking Suna he had to fight Kirabi without Bruce even having his defensive and supplementary jutsus activated, he was worn out. All this happened as his clones were attacking the inside of Iwa, Howard and bruce had been fighting the main kirabi and kirabi's other two clones. Serpent was standing on a building from afar, saw kirabi's clones disperse and looked down and met eyes with Bruce. And as Serpent had rubbed his eyes to see if it was really Bruce, Bruce was gone. It was one week later that Howard was kicked out of Iwagakure. Enraged by this, Bruce swore to attack Iwagakure as revenge for them turning on us after helping them. It just so happened that a few days later, Akatsuki had planned to attack Iwagakure, and so, Minato, Gobi and Bruce showed up at Iwagakures gate, floating on a cloud of carbon from Bruces carbon gourd and destroyed Iwagakure. For this mission, Bruce was given a ring and was made an official Akatsuki ring holder, his ring was named Scarlet and gave him special abilities towards fire.

- Due to his calm mind he automatically makes the chakra in his system flow faster through his body to release the tension from his body. This allows him to be faster and stronger due to the faster flow of chakra in his body. making him faster, giving him better reflexes and can also react faster to attacks.

- Dan also put Bruce through countless genjutsus, making him able to easier recognize basic normal genjutsu, however this doesn't mean he can get out of it.

Edit: Removed all the BS about weights and double speed. Removed everything about passive use of Swift (eyes, taijutsu), Swift is classified as an elemental KG thus it would be no different than saying you can set your fists on fire just like that. Also trimmed down on the genjutsu.
