Brothers trading Sharingan so both can have EMS

Since Sasuke got Itachi's pretty much blind sharingan and got EMS why couldn't they just trade so both can have EMS? For example Izuna and Madara. Why couldn't Izuna just have taken Madara's blind Sharingan and got EMS too?

I don't think it works like that. It hasn't been revealed how the eyes are transplanted, maybe it doesen't work like that.

I think each eye has a unique doujutsu, so to only have one would mean that each person wouldn't get the full power of both eyes. Just as Kakashi has Kamui, but does not have Obito's intangibility and vice versa. It's kind of an advantage and a disadvantage, when you think about it, Obito would be a much larger threat if he also had Kamui, because he wouldn't have to touch the person to send them away to his dimension.

Madara and Izuna couldn't trade because Madara's eyes were already blind, as for Itachi and Sasuke you think Sasuke would just be like okay brother lets trade eyes (Itachi would still be alive so Sasuke wouldn't know the truth, and he'd still be trying to kill Itachi.

Because that is not how you unlock the mangekyo Experience a emotional upheaval or kill the person closest to you.
I thought everyone knew that by now

and also.....the eye going blind is like it getting sealed due to overuse....sealed eyes dont work even for edos...madara went blind...itachi was almost blind but not blind so his worked but madara's wouldn't work anyway....

Itachi was practically blind by the time of his fight with Sasuke, and Sasuke was seeing just fine after he took Itachi's eyes! I think that they just ignored it due to it being useless now that there is only two living Uchihas and that Itachi before his death wanted to die XD

Plot comes in to this mostly.... Madaras eyes were completely blind, they weren't good to anyone! There would have been no point in itachi having taken Sasukes eyes because he was already dieing from an illness... He was only alive due to will power and medication/Plot.
