Bromance: Madara and Hashirama vs Naruto and Sasuke

madara and 1st bond is closer....mainly because it had to be.
They grew up as children of opposing clans during war times and were friends first and rivals second

Naruto and Sasuke grew up during peace times and though they had a friendship but they were rivals first.
The rivalry made them close friends.

The final act of betraying his clan ...yes thats the biggest act of selflessness in the manga..however keep in mind itachi for the most tpart grew up in a time of peace as crazy as it sounds.

Madara and 1st were fighting in wars around the same time itachi was in anbu...anbu is tough but war is another ball park specially when you are the children of the commanding generals.

Not really. Itachi didn't live in constant war. By the time the massacre happened he was already mature and able to comprehend his decision.

Sasuke was scarred as a child. Madara went into war when he was only a kid and lost his family. Not to mention that Gaara, Nagato, and Kabuto probably endured the most in the series.

Yeah but not by their own kin. Their love wasn't betrayed as a child. Gaara's dad tried to kill him. His uncle who expressed love for Gaara ended up trying to kill him and then telling him that all of that affection was fake and blamed him for his mother's death. That's psychological torture at it's finest.

Kabuto didn't even have a family and he was tricked into killing his own mother. Hashirama and Madara still had family and friends to rely on, Kabuto had neither.

Nagato was a war orphan and lived in constant strife just like Hashirama and Madara.

Wasn't there something about a 4 year old Itachi participating in a war? I don't think Itachi has ever had it easy. What Hashi and Madara went through is close. Traumatic, horrific and long. But that single event Itachi had to endure is quite powerful in terms of its emotional and psychological damage, so I don't think it's that clear cut and easy to gage which of the experiences were worse.

HashiMadara were friends for real and other people kept getting in between them. Naruto and Sasuke was just forced, even though their fight in the VOTE was emotional.

Eh with Gaara it was an emotional torture, because Gaara was a soft hearted kid. I believe that is dependent on the mentality of a kid itself. However, when you compare that to seeing your boskies die in battle, and then having adults jump you, and you can't save your broskies.. i think that gives Madara the edge. Not to mention the countless clan members he lost in that war. Its the pain of loss and helplessness vs Pain of betrayal. IMO.

Kabuto also, never had to make up with the people who had killed his family. He also has never lost a brother in front of his eyes. He has also never known INTENSE war, at a young age. I think the reason Hashi and Madara's war era doesn't seem so "dark" is due to the fact those 2 have good personalities and strong mentalities (but both hurt inside).

You can't say just like Hashirama and Madara.. bro they were fighting all out since the ages younger than 7. Nagato was a war orphan, and was lonely.. however, i would rather have been i Nagato's stituation where i could have survived.. compared to Hashirama and Madara's where i a normal would have no chance.

As long as we agree Itachi didn't have it as bad as the rest of them, everything else is up for debate.
