Unrepairable and flawed is mankind,
Left alone, broken inside.
Victim to a mind so unkind;
Our need to forsake clarity for sanity is implied.
The same mistakes are often made,
Perhaps it is the penance for life’s disparity
Yet, like a painting in the rain;
Subtle genius gets washed away.
Remnants of our derelict fairy tales,
Fill the gaps in our fractured hearts.
Burdened remains of our greatest fails;
Of which we wish no remark.
To all of those, who bare best of intents;
Nothing more than solemn goodbyes await.
From this world who knows no repent,
You'll soon embark to meet your fate.
For alone you have came,
As so you will follow;
Broken, desolate and hollow.
